Who goes out and spends money on pampering themselves when the electricity is being shut off when they have children at home, and who would let that happen...childrens needs come first.

We have a joint account.

We balance each other out pretty well.

She reminds me to be generous with giving of money to those in need.

Basically... I'm most often, not always, talking for the frugal side of things, while she is talking about what good is having money if you don't enjoy it sometimes.

An mixed example: She has taught me to

secondhand stores and I've helped her learn to pick a few nice things out, instead of a plethora of 'maybes' coming home filling the closet.

Something else I enjoy is that I travel and am more social-event minded because of her. I'm easy going about 'doing' things, since she has the mind and the eye for it and I'm up for mostly anything. But, I chime in with bringing a packed lunch, a cheaper but still convenient way to get there, or question if we couldn't save the money and do a bigger event/trip that I feel SURE if worth the time/money/effort.

And like I said, She's also socially minded and that giving of money and time/helping out has added lots of VALUE to my life and our relationship.

We do alright I think. Neither one of us is really the teacher or the student. It's a socialist sangha 'roun these parts

Obviously the person you are talking to didn't read the sarcasm in ~1~'s post...... That is an okay misunderstanding.... .

It's good to be aware of welcoming new members and remembering they don't 'get us' yet... and to be gentle.

What you said, wasn't completely untrue, but it was poor timing, kicking people when they are down doesn't fly w/ me... ESPECIALLY in here....

I'd say the issue was clarified w/out your help or two cents.

I can let that all slide though....

BUT

Keep going with your comments to Jenna or theonlyhosh and we'll see how good you can take it, when I give it.
