You know what's the worst part about Sage telling you to GTFO? He's such a fuggin sweet heart, that you know if he's telling you this, you've really crossed some kind of line

I'm sure that Mr. Wayne was being a little facetious, in good fun.
My actions, while conveying a serious message, was done in a like-wise facetiousness.

It's becoming normal now.. not to smoke. Thoughts still pass my mind though.. but each day less and less so. I've also started to feel sorry for other smokers.. but try not to feel almighty about it. It sure does help me though.. seeing smokers and cigs in a different perspective/ All about reinforcing the new habit AYE.

I had someone tell me the only way to quit something (in his mind) was to go completely opposite of it. To just HATE smoking and everything that it is. And it works, it gives you something to work with. Though it's good not being all high and mighty, that's the worst. Like someone telling you they don't WATCH tv or are VEGETARIAN

Yeah.. I guess the same could be said about many things that people do. I think a modest attitude about it all is the best way to go.. BETTER THAN ALL THE OTHER INFERIOR WAYS!

Have you noticed you have superman like ability to smell other smokers from far away? Like their jacket, clothes, Etc. it's to the point I could tell if someone smokes an off-brand. Lol fuckin gnarly.

I will give you some advice, stay vigilant because there will come a time when you get into a shitty situation, probably more like one after another, filled with anger, and not just for a short term, but maybe over a period of days - and it gets to the point that smoking seems like a great idea again as it will fix my life and remove all this anger from me that's just not worth living with smoke free anymore. At 5 weeks smoke free I bought a pack and smoked half of one.. The anger subsided and was replaced with intense guilt and shame. It didn't fix my life, I threw out the cig and the whole pack. Keep your awareness on these types o issues man - I can't speak for you, but for me, it was harder at 5 weeks then 5 days (tr timelines may / probably will be different for you ). I think this is because I quit smoking at a relatively stress free time inmy life, (most people don't quit smoking when they are stressed the fuck out) but when stress came back, I had been using cigs for so Lon as a coping mechanism, and now I didn't know how to deal.

A friend of mine quit around the same time as me and went back to smoking after a few weeks smoke free , I Beleive because of this same scenario. I'm sure it may not happen to you at all - but in letting you know to stay vigilant and keep your awareness on this when it pops up and understand why it's happening (lack of coping mechanism). Smoking is not a physical problem - removing myself from nicotine for 5 days or whatever is no big deal - and had that been the only thing required, people would be making millions locking people in comfy rooms for 5 days in order to free them of their habits. No, this is a spiritual / mental issue and needs to be treated as one.

Congrats btw keep it up brother! I have 7 weeks not be a smoker on Monday (I have to word it like this because of my relapses lol!)

Thanks Toasty! Yeah, I think I can relate to what you mean. I haven't been particularly angry as of yet.. but have had a few hits on one when I was drunk. Got an almost instant head rush and then felt guilty about it. I can see that it could be very easy to just start up again though.. but hope I will remain steadfast in my decision. I think to retain a passive awareness of what smoking took away from me.. like some of the benefits you mentioned.. will be the best deterrent!

I always figured the chemical addiction part would be the worse.. but no.. like you said.. the physical habitual aspect is by far the most annoying part. heh

And yeah.. I smell smoke everywhere! I always suspected how much smoking made people smell.. but now I know.. I can smell people outside rooms now!

Another benefit I didn't foresee is I can talk with my students and not have to sort of lean away so they don't smell cig breath.. and also I don't need to mouthwash or spray after each smoke at work.

:feelsgoodman:

Annnnnd... CONGRATS yourself too!

It seemed to me at least, that whenever I tried to quit smoking, something would ALWAYS come up that made me want to start again. And once you realize that some of those problems you have to smoke aren't actuall problems just excuses to smoke you will be fine.

Im surprised no one has really mentioned e-cigs as an alternative, or at least a way to not go compltely cold turkey and still be able to puff some Nicotine when u want it. I have been off cigarettes for a year vaping my e-cig. Shits badass and i blow out clouds of vapor that are reminescent of a good meth hit of a glass dick

I saw them last night for the first time strangely enough. They have yet to catch on here. I could have bought one off this dude.. but figured I don't need the nicotine anymore. I'm kinda pleased I was able to ditch the habit completely.. rather than just transferring to another method of intake..

Sure..they are great though if you want to get rid of most of the bad effects of smoking. Also I'm pretty sure you could put some thc oil in one also.. or at least adapt it so you could.. that would be great!

Meth is the absolute devil. If you have never tried it id say keep it that way if you want to dodge a huge bullet. As for the thc oils, yeah that is definately a thing. Their is an e-cig called the trippy stick, and a G-pen which are both made for thc oils.

Get ready to dance with the devil my friend. You are in for quite a ride. A word of advice, keep going, no matter what, fight ANY urge to sleep or pass out and if u get a little tired just smoke more thats all u need to do. Also try not to eat any food, its not that hard but sometimes your body will be begging for it. DONT GIVE IN, trust me, you will thank me later

Cigs are impacting on my relationship with my gf atm. She hates the smell and kissing a smoker isn't on her to-do list either. I'll be giving them up again when this pack finishes.
