So i think Mesc could still be "not a smoker", but i agree that he cannot be a "non-smoker".

At the end of the day what matters more than labels is if you get cancer/emphysema or whatever.

I smoked from 11th grade till 5 years later after getting out of USAF (Thailand, baby!)
I got a WHOLE bunch of cartons before discharge, 2 - 3 packs a day till they were gone, went to a cig machine & was astounded at the $$! 20 cents a pack in the bx! I decided that I would kill myself for 20 cents a pack, but not in the real world. I smoked 2 1/2 packs one day & maybe 3 cigs since, 40 years later.

One time we were at my friends house in Vail who was the son of the creator of celestial seasonings tea. After a night of tripping acid we had a pack and a half of cigs left over and none of us were smokers, we thought it cigs would be good on acid? I put like 10 in my mouth and tried to smoke them. I was told it was hilarious, but I'm pretty sure I was just drunk.

I really hope you guys can quit, that shit is expensive in more than one way.

I also have a buddy at the moment who's engaged. His fiance doesn't want to quit, he does... Sounds like an awful situation, because they've tried to quit before.

I smoked from age 13 (stealing Lucky Strikes from my old man) until age 50, when I once & for all quit the fuckers. Started with Lucky Strike non-filter, smoked them until age 35, then went to Marlboro Red in the flip-top box. For some reason, I had it in my head that the flip-top box Marlboros were more flavorful. My wife quit 1/2 a year before me, but she ended-up with emphysema & pulmonary-fibrosis. I lucked out big time, as I came away from that habit pretty much unscathed.
Anyone who's trying to quit, my utmost respect to you. It's a tough habit to break. My wife had to do the hypnosis deal & it worked 1st time. I never thought she'd be able to quit, as she was a 2-pack a day smoker, but she did it. I was sitting out in the garage after she quit (we never smoked in the house...didn't want to stink the place up), thinking how ridiculous I was out there by myself. I had 1/2 a pack left & looked at it...& I was determined that if the wife could quit, so could I. The 1st week was hard, but everyday it became easier & I've been a non-cigarette smoker for almost 10 yrs now. I will never quit weed, though, as I've given up every other fun habit & weed has always been my favorite hobby.
Believe me, I know cigs are the toughest 'give-up' I've ever had to deal with, but quitting is totally possible & my sincere props to 1 & all who've quit, made an attempt to quit, or is in the process of quitting. You CAN do it!!

I was off smokes for a year. Then my girlfriend started smoking again and then I did. Now she's my ex and now I'm gonna stop again. Fucking cigarettes. So good... but so bad.

Anyone mess with e-cigs? I bought a blu just to try it out, it seems satisfactory but possibly low quality.

Yes, I have tried the ecigs.

If you are trying to quit and you can commit to not smoking cigarettes, I think the ecig is a completely viable quitting method. With a few caveats.

imo, it's a replacement therapy. You are still getting the hand-to-mouth action and the nicotine reward (in a lower dose than you do in a traditional cig, but you can still get concentrations in the vape liquid). Some people say that they have successfully weaned themselves down from like the 1.1% nicotine solution to 0.4% then to nothing. A lot of these people I know still smoke the ecig. I think a lot of it is the physical act of smoking. That is a hard habit to break... With the ecig, I find I can sit there for an hour straight hitting it. It's not the same as smoking a cigarette, but if I'm not smoking cigarettes (on a quit) it helps. I'm not nearly as itchy and shitty as when I'm cold turkey when on an ecig, but I'm still craving cigarettes.

The ecig is generally cheaper than smoking traditional cigarettes. In my part of the country, anyway. The vaporizer is usually $60 - $150 and the juice can be anywhere from $3 - $15 for the standard 16mg vial. There's lots of concerns about what chemicals are in the vape juice. I get a brand that's advertised as a water base. None of the vape liquids are FDA approved, but a lot of companies will tell you that the individual ingredients in their juice are FDA approved. For what it's worth.

I have an eGo C ecig vaporizer. I like it OK. It runs on a recharge. Usually can get a day or two of vaping out of it before needing a charge. I don't remember how many charges the lady said I'd get out of it. I don't think more than 500. She said it was the basic model and if I am going to vape then there are better models. You buy the juice separate and fill the cartomizer (sp?), which is a replaceable part that supposedly should be changed up every month or so. $10 piece.

My friend smokes the Blus on occasion. I think he looks silly. And it makes a weird whistling noise. It seems like he's inhaling very hard to get a hit off it.

Hope it helps Geeno

Geeno do some research and you can get a nice kit for a good price. I recomend a Joye tech 510 for looks and a good kick. There's really only a handful of companies that make the parts but then other companies brand them and double the price. I just hate when people tell you smoking an ecig looks like a crack pipe or other ignorant shit. Hit up JoJo she's working at a vape shop and can probably help you out choosing plus she can do custom juices.

I'm pretty satisfied with the blowone. It's got a good aesthetic, a lot of other ones were obtuse or feminine.

This is amazing. I have no urge to actually smoke cigarettes. Fantastic substitute.

I don't stink, I'm not taking in tar, I don't have I isolate myself outdoors to use it.

I bought some organic cigarettes as a healthier way to cut down and quit.

No radioactive fertilizer, no additives = 90%+ of the risk of gas station smokes is gone.

I think that's one of the many ways organic is used as a scam. Still burning plant matter.

I'm not saying it's healthy.

Most of the risk from store cigarettes is high radioactivity.

But if its organic, it's got none of that radioactivity, and none of the many toxic additives. It shouldn't be too much different from just smoking some weed... it's just smoking an organically grown plant.

So regular cigs have radioactive additives?

Admittedly I don't know much about tobacco and it's processing.
