Nice Guys Finish Last

Alright, here is my situation. I met this girl through a cousin of mine, and when I did meet her for the first time me and her got along just fine. We ended up just talking some more, got her number and went through the whole "telephone" calling situation. Now not to long ago about after 3 months of just playing the phone game, I decided to see if she wanted to smoke with me. She said yeah and well pretty much went down to get her, smoked, had fun, and even got to know each other even better. Next day afterwards since im such a nice guy I offered to see if she wanted to toke up again. She did and so there we are just chillen with each other. Nothing serious, but do keep in mind throughout all this time I begin to see her more and more. And the more I see her the more I begin to think of this girl as just more than a friend.

So naturally I keep asking her for many more nights to come to smoke with me. Only because I had gotten like 2 ounces of green in those same two weeks we where smoking. And well it was pretty fun being with her and all. So either way here I am putting some moves on her, and she seems to respond perfectly, hell be damned if she wasn't being flirty with me. So me thinking to myself thought we had a pretty good shot together.

So about a week after more continuous smoking with her, I decided to grow some nuts and ask her out while we where smoking. She told me perfectly clear in my face that she wanted to as well. So cool here I was feeling all great and grand with our relationship. Not untill the next day, you see the next day she went to visit my cousin, and I was there of course. But throughout that entire day she was somewhat distant to me. So I just pulled her aside and asked her what was wrong, but she told me nothing. So at last I just thought maybe she was having a bad day and decided to let it be. Well after it was over she went home, and I stayed with my cousin because she wanted to tell me something. So me and my cousin talked and my cousin told me that if I had asked her friend out, and I said yeah. And well my cousin then told me that her friend "remembers" me asking her that when we where high. But she doesn't remember what she had answered me.

So when I found that out I felt myself at a complete loss. I know she must be fucking with my head, and well I just started thinking today just how true that saying of " Nice Guys Finish Last" is true to every word. That and Guitar Starr's thread of "Guy Problems" made me think over it as well. So what do you all think?

btw on a sidenote Guitar Starr im still one of those nice guys if your looking for one!?

anyway, i don't see this as a problem, she just was stoned and forgot, its not as if she told your cousin to tell you to leave her the hell alone or something

friggin call her, make light of it and put her at ease...and resume where you left off

Oh well I forgot to mention the outcome. Well here it is, either way I did talk to her a few days ago. And got everything cleared up. Situation is this, she does want to go out with me, but she is talking to some other guy. Supposedily her "ex-boyfriend" and told me that she still had feelings for him. But only problem was that her ex-boyfriend kept treating him like shit. Kind of like the whole situation with the Guitar Starr thread not to long ago. Anyways, so there I am listening to her tell me basically how she still loves the jackass after all the stress and problem he has caused her and just doesn't see it as fair to me. I don't see it fair either, but I sure as hell don't also see it fair for her to use it as an excuse towards me just so that she doesn't need to go out with me. And well with that said and done, I just told her it was okay. And I still talk to her sometimes nowadays, but not like I use to anymore. But none the less she and I are still good friend.. What do you think guys? Should I just move on completely to find someone else, or just wait around like the good guy that I am?

Or are you just trying to piss me off or try to teach me the ways of reality from the internet? I respect your opinion but if all your going to do is attack me thenI guess I have no choice but to retaliate and pwn you little man. So far I've been nice, as the title of the thread suggests. She was probably just testing you. You were cool the first time but then she started acting distant and saw how needy you got. Nah dude, don't play that game. Just be like "we're going out" and tell her when. but you can't keep being all bi-polar about it. If you want to go out with her, go out with her. Do or do not. There is no try.

Yeah just play her confident and assertive.

Girls "can be" devious and like to make sure they know their man inside and out so they can always find a way to manipulate the relationship/etc. Just make sure you two both remember that you are together so you can have fun together and not just to smoke herb. Things will work themselves out naturally as long as you both have the right intentions for things to work. If not...then she wasn't your type after all. Peace.
