Medical marijuana in florida
MEDICAL MARIJUANA IN FLORIDA
Download petition online here: PUFMM A Political Comittee This petition is sponsored by People United For Medical Marijuana. A recommendation from a licensed Florida medical physician will be required. Medical doctors being restricted from recommending any remedy to patients that’s been proven safe and effective should outrage everyone. Such a restriction should only be allowed in the case of extreme danger to citizens or society. This certainly is not the case with marijuana. In all of recorded history there has never been a single death from the ingredients in marijuana. In 1988, after reviewing all evidence brought forth in a lawsuit against the government's prohibition of medical marijuana, the DEA's own administrative law judge (Judge Francis Young) wrote: "The evidence in this record clearly shows that marijuana has been accepted as capable of relieving the distress of great numbers of very ill people, and doing so with safety under medical supervision. It would be unreasonable, arbitrary and capricious for the Drug Enforcement Administration to continue to stand between those sufferers and the benefits of this substance in light of the evidence". Judge Young added: "Marijuana, in its natural form, is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known. In strict medical terms, marijuana is safer than many foods we commonly consume." Thirteen States have enacted laws permitting patients the right to use this safe and effective remedy and several others are actively working on similar legislation. The deadline to collect enough signatures to get this measure on the 2010 Florida ballot is February 1, 2010. The signatures are valid for four years. In the event this issue does not make the 2010 ballot, signatures will continue being collected toward this issue appearing on the 2012 ballot. No law, no amount of corporate or government propaganda, nothing, should prohibit the right of a doctor to recommend a safe, effective, inexpensive remedy to a patient. Take a look at the issues in this well documented biography called “Run From The Cure”. You really should watch all seven video clips. Here’s the link: If you or a loved one was sick what would you do to help yourself or your loved one? There is no excuse for any law that makes using a safe and effective remedy a criminal offence. Take a few moments and forward this information to all the registered voters you know in Florida. That’s the way I see it, what do you think? Thanks for your post. It's mostly true.
Just missing a little info. My best friend's wife died a couple of years ago from smoking herb. Her doc did a bronchoscope of her lungs and showed her the damage caused by smoking cigs and then showed her the damage caused by smoking herb. He told her it wasn't the cigs that were killing her, but the massive cancer tumor from smoking herb. Even she could see the difference between the damage caused by the cigs, but the massive lung cancer tumor that was killing her.....and her took the time and trouble to show her the difference; it was obvious. Yes, I'm still smoking herb....I have end stage liver disease from Hep C and Autoimmune Hepatitis, and it's the herb that gives me the best and most pain relief. I'll quit when I die, but right now I seriously need it. What the hell; I don't have that much time left anyway so why not? So yes, smoking can harm you but that's where moderation comes in. I'm definitely not saying you should quit, but it can have detrimental effects especially if you've smoked herb a long, long time. Just be aware! You're mostly right so don't misconstrue my words or intent. All in all, what you said is true. Thanks for your post. It should chill out nonsmokers who really need to try it for themselves, and then decide for themselves. BTW, my best friend....her husband died of lung cancer from cigs less than two years ago. He also had hep C so he'd have died regardless if he had ever smoked cigs or not.
Peace my brothers and sisters; don't let this get you down. God loves you, and we all have to die sometime. It's how you lived your life that counts. |

CloudCity,
I am so sorry to hear about your friend's wife. I am also surprised at the doc's diagnosis. Many reports that I've read suggest not only that herb does not cause cancer, but that it can even slow or stop tumor growth despite the assumptions one might make regarding smoking. If you don't mind me asking, what was his basis for saying that herb was the cause? |

Don't know his criteria for making that diagnosis.
Obviously, he has seen hundreds of lung CA cases so perhaps there was something specific about her particular case that caused him to make that call. Personally, I hope that he was horribly mistaken in making that diagnosis. I greatly prefer the information you provided. Thanks for posting that and not just blowing me off. I obviously pray your information is the most accurate. As a smoker of chronic for something like forty years, your info is the best news I've ever had. Thanks! I've been "a little concerned" about how this might impact my own health issues since she died. BTW, her husband never smoked herb because it made him paranoid. He was a diehard cigarette smpker for something like forty-five years. I mistakenly posted that he smoked herb too. I apologize for that. I smoke cigs too, and that's bad mojo for a sixty a 60 year old diabetic. It seems that there's ample evidence of a link brtween Hep C and diabetes. That's ominous enough for me, but I've smoked far more herb than cigarettes. I quit smoking cigs for about 20 years while raising my kids.....second hand smoke etc. Just wish I never sraered again, but the stress of learning I'd likely die decades earlier than normal was more thab I could handle. I used to drink alcohol in great quantities too. but I have never gone back to it. Really bad mojo with two kinds of hepatitis. Hey, if you can come up with any more info on herb and cancer, I'd really be interested and appreciative. Thanks for post and the encouraging info. I wish you a long and healthy life with nothing but peace and love guiding and guarding you and your loved ones.

I am one of the unlucky few that got it working in the health field. I accidently got stuck when throwing away a dirty needle. It was the only needle-stick I ever had working in the health field....and I worked in the field for 25 years. I was always very careful to wear gloves and wash my hands every time I had contact with a patient. The bitch of it is that it happened before they even knew what Hep C was - couldn't even test for it - and the term "Universal Precautions" was paid very little attention. The only thing people ever paid much attention to then was called HTLV-3......then HIV......and finally AIDS. Not that terminology matters. I found out I had Hep C when the blood bank called looking for my son to donate blood - he's B+ - so they asked my blood type - AB+, and since they're both fairly rare types - about 3% of the population, I readily agreed to donate. Two weeks later, I got a letter from rhe blood bank saying I had Hep C and to never everdonate blood again. They also said they had notified the CDC that I was HCV positive and my name would be put on a list of infected people. Really made me feel warm and fuzzy. So caring. So that's my story, and it has been hell ever since. But, my journey's about over so I'm just trying to help people who have it too.
Peace, CloudCity |
