Kompressor mentioned "decent education" and I'd like to comment on that. My opposition is not directed at you, Kompressor - you're a fine person with a valid opinion. I just have my own take on the subject and your words happened to grab me.

Decent education teaches us that marijuana is a poison that messes with your mind, makes you lazy and likely to murder your family. Causes cancer too. It will steal your soul, hence, "Satan's weed" - everyone knows that. Etc., etc. These "facts" are inherent teachings in respectable, decent education.

Decent education also teaches us that the government(s) fluoridate our water to protect our teeth. To think otherwise is nonsense. Everyone knows this. It is dogmatic fact. But they never mention that the first occurrence of fluoridated drinking water was found in Germany's Nazi concentration camps during world war II. The Nazi's, you see, apparently made healthy teeth a priority too. Why else would they flouridate prison camp water? You can't bake or gas people with unhealthy teeth, it wouldn't be right.

So decent education clearly tells us that cannabis is poison and fluoridating water is essential medicine. It also tells us that herbal medicine is unregulated and dangerous folklore, but "talk to your doctor today to see if pharmaceutical X (and Y, and Z, and A-W, and...) is right for you."

Now, do we following along like good little citizens or do we dare to question the authorities and re-think what we've been told? What does decent education suggest? Oh yeah, hurry and go get your flu shot too.
