Hypothesis on nausea....
OK well, Ive been using the good herb to combat my nausea for a couple years now. I get crippling pain in the morning before I eat, and just the thought of food makes me go into dry heaves. Smoking at all takes it away instantly, and I can finally eat, which i otherwise wouldn't have done until that afternoon.
The most interesting thing Ive noticed is that vaporizing my weed doesn't do anything to get rid of nausea. I mean, i get stoned, but i still cant eat. The browned post-vapo nuglets, however are great at treating my nausea. My hypothesis is that whatever chemical in cannabis treats nausea is not vaporized at temperatures we use to smoke, which gives the vapo-nugs a higher concentration of the chemical. What do you guys think?

well, as far as testing the hypothesis, there are alot of variables. do you eat alot before you go to bed? what you are proposing seems within the realm of possibilty
i think i get a similar feeling sometimes. its almost like my stomach is asleep and if i even take a sip of water i feel like my stomach just churns

Yeah, i think the reason i have it so regularly is bad eating habits.
A friend of mine, a doctor, told me nausea is regulated by a protein structure, so i took mega doses of hemp aminos before bed but it didn't seem to do much.

when you vape you only get a fraction of the chemicals that you get when you smoke. theres actually like 200 chemicals that you create when you burn the herb or something like that?
THC is included in that fraction its probably not THC itself that causes the hunger inducing stuff, rather something that happens when you burn the herb. thats my hypothesis also people who try that synthetic stuff, jwh-018, which is really really similar to THC, dont report getting munchies at all.

i would think alot of the cannabinoids have varying vape temps which could explain why the vape high is different than the high from combustion.
as far as sulimans OP, i think the stomach problems might be caused by eating too much late at night. when i go on crazy munchy attacks i usually end up waking up with a somtach ache and a gnarly case of thirst. do you drink coffee, suliman? i know alot of people who are pretty much strung out on coffee and they say its the only thing they can put in their stomach early in the morning

ive heard mention of CBD, which im not 100% sure about what that is, but i think its responsible for alot of the hunger/ body high but also the groggyness that can be associated with certain strains. i hope someone else comes to check in on this one, i know someone has to know about cbd vs thc
/too lazy too look it up

i would be surprised if they have found the actual chemical itself responsible for the munchies. i thought that was one of the main reasons they give chemo patients cannabis, for its hunger-restoring properties.
def see if you can find any info on that, i would be really interested.

CBD is found in high concentrations in hemp, but relatively low concentrations in marijuana. It is the principle component in the treatment of several diseases, including Chron's disease, but its also antipsychoactive, meaning it inhibits the recreational effects of weed itself.
I dont think CBD is what treats it, just guessing. THC is supposed to have anti-nasuea alone, i guess Marinol or something. I don't think that the thc alone is enough for me though, i would imagine that's most of what im vaporizing.
