I would like to quit coffee one day.

I'm afraid to do it. I need like.. a month where I don't have some midterm or final or project looming over top of me where I don't have to continuously perform to just go through that withdrawal.

So when someone we know dies we will be stress free?

I don't get it.

In regards to coffee.. I quit for a week.. Substituted green tea with lemon, ginger and honey. Felt great. Lost five pounds.

Then I drank a coffee. Blah!

I don't get that either.

Rev was implying I would never be stress free - as in I'd DIE before that ever happens.

But then I turned it around like a sonofabitcH!!

Coffee tweaks me out really bad for some reason. Borderline uncomfortable.

I occasionally drink this tea, if i need a boost:

RUNA brand, found in my local supermarket.

Tea is worse than coffee for me..

If I drink tea I'm like this...

But I only drink my moms and she puts 3 bags in the pot... Her pot is huge.

Sugar does that to me, hence the diet sodas.

The biggest issue, for me, anyways, is the phosphoric acid they add to give that 'soda pop taste' to soda. Really bad for the teeth, , , ,

I switched to decafe as a first step. Its approximately a quarter the caffeine, so it still gives you something, you still get to drink your brown morning warmth and you can drink a couple mugs without shaking.

I also feel like coffee makes my breath stink. Even more so than like cigs. Have to brush my teeth after a cup.

I totally quit soda 5 days ago. It's not easy. I totally feel the urge to drink one. In fact, I haven't felt this unsettled like that since I quit cigs many years ago. It's not the same intensity of "Oh my fucking God!" that quitting cigarettes was, but there's a familiar similarity.

Congrats Rev. That's not easy! I was a Diet Coke addict for years. Had my last one a bit over 6 years ago and will never forget the head splitting headache that came with my withdrawal.

Watching your transformation is inspiring..good on ya! You rock! Thanks for sharing

I drank a cup of coffee yesterday at like 1pm.

14 hours later im laying in bed at 3 am wide awake, still very much so noticeably stimulated.

Lol i dont get it.
I can drink multiple sodas or other teas without this effect at all... But coffee just fucking tweaks me out.

Like shit i swear to god ive had easier times getting to sleep after doing cocaine.

I know it doesnt affect most like this, but even with the way it affects normal people it cracks me up how this shit isnt commonly viewed as a drug.

Make sure you get your fix this morning.
A stimulant to wake you up.
A beer or sleeping meds to put you down.

But dont you dare smoke that joint.

I'm on Day 8, now. I salivate at the thought of Sucralose.
