Someone posted a video here a while ago about a hemp based plastic. They had some bowls and boxes and such as an example.

That is a great movie. I got my mom to watch it, and it cleared up alot of ignorant ideas she had regarding hemp.

I only had time to watch about half of the first one. They didn't mention the fact that the inks were also made from hemp. I'll watch more as time allows.

Of course Obama can't be for the legalization of hemp, it would piss off the lobyist of the cotton, oil, lumber, paper, and the chemical industries. Obama thinks he works for them not us.

What pisses me off is they are taking the corn crop in America and making alcohol from it and driving the price up for food in third world countries. Many poor people in the world have died from this and it is not efficient in the least but if they planted hemp, it would be very efficient and we wouldn't be driving the price up for food crops.

I talked to the Gov of Iowa at a Geen Fair in Anchorage, Ak. I asked if he would support legalizing Indrustral Hemp for cellulosic ethanol and Bio-diesel production. His answer was " Thats not something we has looked into before." I ran the numbers for amount of energy the plant could prouduce and how his state could do well. He just repeated the same line. Wife was recording the ground insted of us or I could show you the vid.

Farmers in California know the value of hemp farming. Their lobbyist got the legislature to pass a hemp farming bill but the terminator vetoed it earlier this year, stating as the reason being that it violated federal law. If they would only give in at the federal level, there could be headway made against pollution and global warming.
