Medical Marijuana dispensary raid

Medical Marijuana dispensary raid in progress
Wednesday, March 25, 2009

Emmalyn's California Cannabis Clinic
at 1597 Howard Street in San Francisco.

Agents are wearing clothing with DEA on it.

SSDP's Micah Daigle is on the scene and reports that all the local press are there. (Apparently protesters are there as well.) Micah also reports that the agents went in with a sledgehammer and crobar, so they're probably not there to talk. continued

Net to Obama

Net to Obama... Legalize it dude... Some question if obama pretended to take a toke, then snickered bla bla no... Bogus treatment eh? No sher shitlock. Hemp jobs? $300 million last year, will wonders ever cease. Maybe someday the telephone lines will reach D.C. and someone can call albama and tell him about Hemp. State local yokle politikop drug worriers now wanting a cut of reform via taxes and quack assistance. Same quacks doing harm for 40 years silent about caging sick and healthy people for what they knew was safer than booze. CNN Wolfe Blitzer and McCafferty more serious than elblamo about the "L" word, Cooper 360 interviewed LEAP aganst a typical narcrobot idiot. Larry King quoting William F Buckley...

Shit or Get Off the Pot by Dominic Holden
US WA: Column: The Stranger 26 Mar 2009

Jeffrey Steinborn, Seattle's leading pot-defense attorney, was sitting at his desk overlooking Elliott Bay in early March when a client in his mid-30s walked into the office. The man had recently been convicted of possessing pot for personal use. "He went up to this place north of Seattle where they have this shelter full of abused puppies they are trying to get rid of," Steinborn says. "They wouldn't give him a puppy. They turned him down for a pot conviction."

So when will we be getting that apology?

Obama ridicules marijuana question
DWR: Thursday, March 26, 2009
At today's Town Hall, Obama acknowledged that a whole lot of folks voted marijuana questions to the top (once again).

Evening Buzz: Legalize Pot?
Maureen Miller AC360° Writer

Today, in a lighthearted moment during a White House online town hall meeting, President Obama said he received a lot of questions about the potential of legalizing marijuana and then taxing it to rake in the cash.

“This is a fairly popular question… I don’t know what this says about the online audience,” the president joked. He then got serious and added, “No, I don’t think this is a good strategy to grow our economy.”

Do you agree with the President? Share your thoughts below. 94

Suspected drunk driver rams home, exposes pot farm

Authorities said a 63-year-old man suspected of drunken driving crashed his pickup truck into a neighbor's house, leaving a gaping hole and revealing a small marijuana farm inside.

San Diego police got a search warrant after the Sunday afternoon crash and confiscated more than 20 pot plants from the house.

Sad in so many ways.

The story gives no details, but I'd like to know who got in more trouble with the authorities:

1. The drunk driver who ruined someone's house.
2. The peaceful homeowner who didn't hurt anyone, but had his house ruined.

And one nit to pick. Pot farm? Really? 20 tomato plants isn't a tomato farm. It's a garden. 20 trees isn't a tree farm.
