Dear Editor,

I am writing this letter to you to inform your readers about something that has been covered up. The new Drug Czar, Gil Kerklikowski, doesn't know anything about keeping kids off of drugs, in fact his own son is currently in jail for marijuana sales and assault!
I do not expect him to talk about this case in the media, but he should.
Children can see through the hypocrisy in the war on marijuana.
It should be legalized because it has never killed anyone by overdose. Unlike Booze!

So... um.... what point are you trying to get across with this post? That the drug czar is bad because his kid got in trouble? Or that pot should be legal... I was pretty sure he said he wants to end the war on drugs...

That's a pretty retarded letter.

His "son" is actually his step son and the guy is like 27 years old.

This whole "debacle" or whatever it could be called really doesn't have any representation of Kerklikowski's abilities or lack thereof.

Plus it's a very poorly written letter, there's no structure.

are you afraid to write your own letter? are you afraid that your employer would find your name on the net and fire you for having an opinion?

STATE'S RIGHTS

Where do federal laws apply?
If federal law trumps state law, how is it that brothels and gambling are legal in the state of Nevada?

Isn't prostitution illegal under federal "white slavery" laws?

And doesn't the federal law oppose gambling as goes on in Nevada or even online?

I have recently seen correspondence from Gov. Chris Gregoire where she tells medical marijuana patients that even though the voters of our state approved medical marijuana that it is still against federal law.

Hasn't she been listening to Eric Holder? We don't have to fear Bush anymore!

It is certainly not surprising that the alcohol (wine-beer-booze) industry is coughing up so much dough to our nation's decision-makers.

For one thing, they want to protect their turf.

But remember, it was also not very long ago that their products were just as illegal as marijuana is today.

So I am very confused and I'd like to know once and for all, do we have state's rights or don't we?

But I still am not sure if this is the correct arguement, as to MOST people, it would only discredit him after he has already said he doesn't agree with the war on drugs.

So he's against the use of the term "war on drugs". Big deal. obama got rid of the phrase "war on terror" as he was increasing drone attacks in Pakistan and escalating in Afghanistan.

After all, Barry McCaffrey (Clinton’s drug czar) made a lot of noise about how the drug problem had more to do with public health than it did criminality — before ratcheting up marijuana law enforcement more than any previous administration.
He also said hed did not like the term WAR ON DRUGS! this is just a damn rerun I'm surprised the media did not call him on his bullshit his big is to repeat his former drug czar.
