i like how they say that the state's in no place to legislate morality, and in practically the same breath the report mentions their desire to avoid pissing off the Church.

At least some states have legalized medical use.
The only country I can think of that has become more draconian about weed recently is Blighty.

it makes me so uncharacteristically hopeful to think that the last 40 years of absurd anti marijuana bulshit throughout the world is finally comming to an end...
i really hope it finally does - talk about a lobby i want to fuck- the tobacco lobby - the strongest lobby in america has been murdering millions every year and financing anti marijuana laws, while weed has never killed a single person, its funny cuz u hear about cops being worried about these laws- well i thought the job of the police is to ENFORCE the law, not ENFORCE the status quo and subvert democratic process.... if people dont want to jail people for using a plant that grows naturally on this planet (big idea there ) then cops really dont have anything to worry about- they can rest assured that they may enforce the law, but they shoudlnt force the law to never change even if DEMOCRACY WORKS and eventually rights even the most egregeous wrongs...
