Redding Charity Turns Down Pot Dispensary's Food
"And I will raise up for them a plant of renown,
and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more." ~ Ezekiel 34:29 Redding Charity Turns Down Pot Dispensary's Food US CA: Record Searchlight (Redding, CA) 06 Nov 2009 A Christian ministry that feeds homeless people in Shasta County is saying "no thanks" to an offer of free food from a medical marijuana collective, much to the chagrin of its co-owner. "It doesn't make any sense to me," said Joe Munday, who, with his wife, Gina, owns The Green Heart medical marijuana collectives and dispensaries in Anderson, Shasta Lake and Mount Shasta. "Everybody I've told so far about this thinks it's absolutely ridiculous." Munday, who said his three businesses have been holding food drives for about the past month, called Redding Loaves and Fishes on Wednesday after seeing that organization's TV commercials seeking donations. He said he eventually spoke on the telephone to a man named Chris, who originally seemed receptive to his offer of the free food. But, he said, that man called back about 30 minutes later and turned it down. "He said, 'My pastor and I have been praying on this, and we don't want to accept your food,' " Munday said. continued... Blasphemy "In the later times, some shall speak lies in hypocrisy commanding to abstain from meats which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth." ~ Paul: 1 Timothy 1-4 ![]() The psychedelic secrets of Santa Claus by Dana Larsen (18 Dec, 2003) Modern Christmas traditions are based on ancient mushroom-using shamans. Although most people see Christmas as a Christian holiday, most of the symbols and icons we associate with Christmas celebrations are actually derived from the shamanistic traditions of the tribal peoples of pre-Christian Northern Europe. The sacred mushroom of these people was the red and white amanita muscaria mushroom, also known as "fly agaric." These mushrooms are now commonly seen in books of fairy tales, and are usually associated with magic and fairies. This is because they contain potent hallucinogenic compounds, and were used by ancient peoples for insight and transcendental experiences. continued... Should charities screen their donors and reject aid from inappropriate sources?
Yes. If a shady business is trying to polish its reputation, non-profits shouldn't help them do it. Maybe, but it makes so sense to turn down donations from a legal medical-marijuana operation trying to be a good neighbor. No. The poor need all the help they can get. |

I wonder if he asked the congregation whether or not the offer of help should come with conditions.
I wonder if he asked if anyone in his congregation went to bed with an ache in their empty stomachs because of his political beliefs if it was okay to turn help away.

I can't believe that! And then for them to claim they are doing it in the name of God. These people should be ashamed of themselves. No food donations should be turned away. I don't care if its a from a crazy bum who says satan talks to him through radio waves. Like wtf is wrong with people? It breaks my heart to think that some child may go hungry because of the churchs foolish pride. What a shame.

You can believe there are religious nuts out there that say and believe it everyday. My sister is one of them.
We should call and tell him since his church supports the prohibition, then they believe in the government more than they do The Lord. "Thou shalt have no other Gods before me" Therefore, they need to drop to their knees, ask for forgiveness, then repent of their evil and wicked ways. I love telling that to the Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, or any other brainwashed "missionaries" who show up at my door.

Makes me wonder....
I am sure this asshole takes donations from grocery stores which sell alcohol and tobacco products. Maybe somebody needs to remind him that Jesus wore hemp sandals and clothing. In laymen's terms, Genesis 1:12. Seed bearing herbs shall be used for meat. 1st Timothy 1:4. In later times some will speak lies and command you to abstain from meats which come from the Lord.

how bout the fact that, most homeless people dont need another addiction (yes MEDICAL MARIJUANA is addictive, considering the genes are spliced to contain addictive properties in the DNA, read about it)
and the fact that most medical marijuana dispensories use nugs that have been chemically enhanced somehow from the plants grow stages... AKA food that isnt really the smartest thing to feed homeless people... how bout you kick the "ferts" and "nutes" in growing stages ie grow the plant with only natural foods to feed the plant.. water it enough, and let it grow in SUNLIGHT, and make sure theres still some SEED in the FRUIT of the plant.. before you start trying to give it away to people who actually need some good food.. let me quote a text that actually bears significant truth.. "and I give you every seed bearing plant, with the seed in its fruit bearing seed of it's own kind, and it shall be for meat (AKA FOOD)" - the HEBREW OLD TESTAMENT basically anything that produces a fruit (cannabis included) with a SEED, is good for food.. seedless cannabis being a human corruption of nature... oh and the fact that plants with seeds are much easier to grow, and tend to (GASP) reproduce more plants (and thus FOOD), backs this statement up plenty.. !!OH NO'S!!! we can't have THAT, CAN WE?nice thought and all, but there's a little more involved here than just giving people leftover "pot " food.. I am pretty damn sure christians understand this point.. you have to understand that churches DO understand this (a lot of the times), while a lot of times they just don't want to admit it, because they too know what goes on the world... a lot of people in general really DONT get this, they just want to blindly follow and believe that seedless cannabis is the shit or something.. when in reality, it is NOT good for food ....... capiche? and also.... what do you think goes on at some those mormon farms? dont you think they know how to grow some kind of.. plants? =] the bible nowhere states that you're suppose to smoke cannabis.. but it DOES mention incense, and it DOES mention annointing oils.. both of which were originally composed of cannabis, among other herbs... You didn't read the article....
The medical marijuana facility had a food drive which means they collected food of all types with the intent of feeding hungry people. It had nothing whatsoever to do with the use of cannabis as far as smoking or eating it goes. I have dealt with many religious groups in my 20 plus years of activism. The people in those groups are truly brainwashed. They stand against that dangerous marijuana because their government calls it a dangerous drug. You should have heard the calls from religious groups on The Governor's answering system. We shared some laughs over that.
I usually know what I am talking about before I open my mouth. I grew up being beaten in the name of The Lord by both parents so I am well aware of the hypocrisy that takes place on a continual basis. "And they shall render evil for good and good for evil." I can judge the good reverend for what he is because he judges us for what we are not. The man does not believe in his own Bible and teachings. He may just be in it for the money. Who knows. Bottom line is the people in California have voted to allow these types of establishments to exist and any good Christian should honor and respect that and take any proceeds from that in good faith and gratitude. I'm not sure what God he prays to, but it obviously isn't the same one that created the plant.

i understand dude.. i had christian parents too.. now their just christ lizards... umm
really the only point i was trying to make, is that seriously, cannabis without the seed in its fruit, whether it be kush or stress or something weve never seen before, without the seed, it REALLY isnt that good for food.. It was a good gesture though, I would have accepted it.. but Im saying honestly, most edibles just get you high, and a lot of times make you more hungry... I can understand getting bums stoned, but getting them much higher than they already are?? good job.. now get some bums stoned.. |
