today I had a paradigm shift

I was at the dispensary buying some hash because a buddy wanted some and I like to support my local growers. So yeah anyways, someone at the dispensary told me something that caused me to have a paradigm shift.

I've always wondered why marijuana is illegal and I've never really come to a real conclusion. I have my personal reasons for agreeing and disagreeing with it being illegal, I can definitely see both side. What this person told me blew the doors off all other legalization points I've ever thought about.

They told me how an ex-military vet was in the dispensary earlier that day buying some trees. It turns out he used to be stationed in pakistan in the 70's. I guess when he was there, they knew about this building where opium and heroin, and HASH were being "manufactured." So he went the rest of his life thinking hash was just as bad as heroin until today. She told me when he saw that the dispensary had hash, he couldn't believe it.

So the dispensary had to tell him what hash really was... That it was not in fact a hard drug and it is merely a THC extraction.

Now I can see why something as simple as this correlation just because they were manufactured in the same place, he assumed it was just as bad as everything else there.

Today I figured out that cannabis is illegal only because of misinformation and pure ignorance. I now realize how many people out their are misinformed or not informed at all...

Has this come to mind to anyone else? Am I just behind on this, or what? I thought I was pretty aware of my surroundings but fuck, something as simple as this... I can see how it is totally overlooked.

yeah i totally feel you on this,

its also probably a more productive point of view than just being angry at the man for intentionally keeping us down

and its good to be reminded that not everybody is on the same page all the time
