Granny Purps

Giving and Ganja Go Hand in Hand By Tovin Lapan
CN Source: Santa Cruz Sentinel Soquel, CA

Nancy Black, called Granny Purps just like the pot dispensary she owns on 41st Avenue, is known for her palate-pleasing recipes for brownies, cookies and other treats containing medicinal marijuana. This holiday season, however, Black and co-owner Phil Hicks demonstrated that their recipe book also includes the secret ingredient to bringing in outsized donations for the Second Harvest Food Bank holiday food drive: a complimentary joint. For every four cans of food they donated to Second Harvest, patients received one pre-rolled marijuana joint, with a maximum of three per day. continued...

GRANNY PURPS
Nature knows best. That's why GRANNY PURPS uses only the freshest California organically grown produce and ingredients, including the highest quality estate grown sativa and indica, to create create the best holistic and delicious marijuana cookies, brownies and fudge in California.

San Fran: Trade in food for drugs this holiday season
A California medical marijuana dispensary is bribing people for food donations with their MVP (most valuable product) – pot. The Granny Purps dispensary in Soquel, CA is offering a complimentary marijuana cigarette for every four cans of food a patient brought in this holiday season. Reports show that Granny Purps took in 11,000 pounds of food and handed out 2,000 joints between November and Christmas Eve, when the promo ended. All the food was donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Yeah! i read about this in my local paper, what an awesome cause. I mean, its like double charity, giving free medicine to patients who give food to the hungry.

Did any yahookans participate?
