Michele M. Leonhart (Lying Heart)

Senate decides it doesn’t matter who heads up the DEA

The Senate unanimously confirmed Acting Administrator Michele M. Leonhart as the agency’s top agent Wednesday. Leonhart has been the DEA’s acting chief since November 2007.

Leonhart said in a statement: “I am dedicated to meeting the challenges that DEA faces, from disrupting and dismantling extremely violent Mexican based drug cartels; to defeating narco-terrorists operating in Afghanistan and around the world; and doing all we can to reduce prescription drug abuse, our nation’s fastest growing drug threat.

"She has proven her leadership to be anti-science, pro-lying, pro-death and destruction, and devoid of competence, so the Senate decided she was perfect for this job". ~ Pete Guither DWR

Obama DEA Nominee Pledges To Ignore Administration
“As a general matter, pursuit of [federal law enforcement] priorities should not focus federal resources … on individuals whose actions are in clear and unambiguous compliance with existing state laws providing for the medical use of marijuana,” The DOJ announced on October 19, 2009. Apparently Michelle Leonhart, President Obama’s nominee to direct the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, didn’t get the memo. Speaking yesterday before the Senate Judiciary Committee, on day one of her Senate confirmation process, Leonhart pledged to ignore the administration’s formal medical marijuana guidelines.

Pot Growers Portayed as Terrorists
Federal, state and local officials carrying out a counter-terrorism drill in Northern California Wednesday played out a scenario in which local marijuana growers set off bombs and took over the Shasta Dam, the nation’s second largest, to free an imprisoned comrade.

Thank you for contacting me to express your opposition to the nomination of Michele M. Leonhart to be Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). I welcome this opportunity to respond.

In 2004, Ms. Leonhart was unanimously confirmed by the Senate to serve as DEA Deputy Administrator. She was the DEA's first female Special Agent in Charge (SAC) and later became the SAC for the Los Angeles Field Division, which is its third largest Field Division. She has been the Acting Administrator since 2007.

I understand you have concerns about medical marijuana and Ms. Leonhart's record on enforcing drug laws. As you may be aware, last fall, the Justice Department issued new guidelines clarifying its position on medical marijuana and how federal prosecutors should handle cases where state and federal laws conflict. This directive sets parameters for use of federal resources for prosecutors in marijuana cases stating that "...priorities should not focus federal resources in your states on individuals whose actions are in clear and unambiguous compliance with existing state laws providing for the medical use of marijuana."

Ms. Leonhart's nomination is currently pending in the Senate Judiciary Committee, of which I am a member. At this time, however, her nomination has not been taken up for consideration. As a member of this Committee, I take my role in reviewing nominees very seriously, and I appreciate hearing your opposition to Ms. Leonhart. Please know I will keep your concerns in mind should her nomination come before the Committee or the full Senate.

Again, thank you for contacting me. I hope you will continue to keep informed on matters of interest to you. Best regards.

Also, may I take this opportunity to wish you a happy and healthy holiday season. Best regards

Sincerely yours,

Dianne Feinstein

DEA’s Michele Leonhart Goes Rogue
In February of 2009 Eric Holder vowed to end DEA raids on Medical Marijuana. In his statement he said, “the Justice Department will no longer raid medical marijuana clubs that are established legally under state law.” But left in place from the dubya era is Michele Leonhart. Ms. Leonhart is defying the administrations ban on raids against legal growers. These are people who have applied for a license and are sanctioned by local or State governments which allow them to grow and sell medical marijuana.

Senate Throws Softball Questions By Phillip S. Smith

Michele Leonhart's nomination to be Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) administrator appeared to be on track for an easy confirmation after a Wednesday hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee. The nomination is opposed by the drug reform, medical marijuana, and hemp movements, but insiders say it is all but a done deal. While reformers had hoped one or more senators would ask Leonhart "tough questions" about her tenure as acting DEA administrator, that didn't happen.

Committee blocks Leonhart nomination...?

Senate Judiciary Committee blocks Leonhart nomination to head DEA
As NORML has warned, President Obama has nominated Michele Leonhart to head the Drug Enforcement Administration. Leonhart has been serving as Acting DEA Administrator since her appointment by the Bush Administration. Now during confirmation hearings in the Senate Judiciary Committee, Sen. Herb Kohl (D-WI) has placed a hold on the nomination.

Lowering to a schedule#2 will only open sublingual sprays like satevex and bayer. Leaving Hemp, RxGanja and Ganja outlawed. Prohibition is a lie agreed upon. Why perpetuate it or ConPromise on truth?

There is No legitimate excuse… That brings us to the dilemma of knowingly paying these anti-American DEAth squads salaries. Knowing full well their attitudes towards abusing citizens rights. Knowing they also know or at least have access to know the truth and yet continue the daily terror campaign. Leaving vulnerable sick people stressed out before they can even treat their illness. How low can they go? Those in the corporate world knowing first hand how lethal Ganja isn’t.

Yet lobbying Congress for more ways to pisstaste and humiliate those who would free the weed. To denigrate us out of existence. A systematic approach to maintaining a pool of uneducated cheap labor. Either denied tuition assistance because of past busts or straight to the prison industry jobs telemarketing.

To know when you wake up that you will ruin someone’s life today over some bogus pretense of helping them? Those we elect to govern our interests are not governing well, if at all. If anyone has access to the truth one would think or hope it would be the Congress, the President and the Supreme Court. Instead we end up with inept lackey’s or illiterate mute fools concerning the Ganjawar. Turning siblings into snitches, forfeit the home, confiscate the car, furniture and whatever Christmas gifts laying around. Parents in jail or out on bail. Fired from work. Good job kid, Merry Christmas. ~ DdC

Con Flicts of Interest Bush Barthwell & Drugs

Health regulators have sent an uncompromising message that smoked cannabis will not be approved for use by MS sufferers, leaving the way open for GW's under-the-tongue spray version of the drug.

Former Deputy Drug Czar Andrea Barthwell is the new spokesperson for getting GW Pharmaceuticals' Sativex approved for use in the United States. Bayer and GW Pharmaceuticals announce marketing agreement on pioneering new cannabis-based treatment.

"The people who are advancing marijuana as a medicine are perpetuating a cruel hoax that exploits our compassion for the sick. They are using patients' pain and suffering in an attempt to change America's drug control policy. Marijuana is a crude plant product that most definitely is not a medicine."

Arbitrary and Capricious OiNkDeCePtions...

The October 9, 2002 Petition to Reschedule Marijuana has been officially denied by Michele Leonhart and the denial placed in the Federal Register today.

Zero tolerance is as bad to the Neocons as legalizing. I never supported Obombo or sir Hilary. But I also never banked on his past statements to mean anything positive either. The only reason for Prop 19 is to sell pot. Not a bad thing unless it tweaks 215. The Compassionate Use Act already covers anyone for any reason, including caregivers. No limits other than what you think you require. It also covers 18 to 21 year olds mature enough to shoot Iraqi kids but not old enough to smoke a joint. That's why 19 will fail again. Many sat by while the 215 initiative was disregarded by the republicans wilson and lungren. After Klintoon/junior when the explosion of buyers clubs hit LA and Oakland many were only in it for the money. Still are. They are not covered under Prop 215 and that is who you hear whining now. Blame Obombo for being a typical Kratzy jerk off war monger moneyslut wannabe all you want but he didn't lie about his intentions. He isn't busting individuals or their caregivers. We have to forget normal politics concerning the Ganjawar. This war only profits if it continues. It only keeps natural alternatives off the market shelves if it continues

Note. Compassionate Use Act not the MMJ Act

Politicians are sleezeballs right next to DA's, religionists cops and legislating judges. There isn't much doubt the Drug Tzar is bound by law to lie. Obombo has the Commerce Claus to ward off Buyers Clubs. If he could wipe out stoners into Koch Bros telemandatory marketing profits they would. If the 10th Amendment didn't instruct states to decide on individuals they'd of included them in the Gonzo v Raich decision. Prop 215 engages the 10th Amendment. So each state should incorporate their own initiatives. But to save any integrity for the country the ultimate goal should be to overturn Cannabis and Hemp as schedule#1 Narcotics, if not, scrap the entire CSA and dissolve and investigate the ONDCP and their subsidiaries.

Every time we relinquish checks and balances for single human dictatorial governance we end up with corruption and arbitrary decisions that serve a minority or the status quo government or corporate interests. If we don't stop repeating History then we shouldn't bitch when we end up with the same results. Leonhart has no democratic or American authority to determine the scheduling of a substance. Politically obedient cops are a menace to society and should be classified as schedule #1 dangerous, addictive poisons. Science has already determined cannabis is medicinal and the safest substance in the entire pharmacopeia. Lyingheart is slaving for job security. Pitifools on display.

Is The DEA Legalizing THC?

So the Apothecaries (Buyers Clubs) are probably unjustly classed as Commerce and subject to the Feds Commerce Claus determination. But that is what the GOPerverted supremes ruled in Gonzo v Raich. I still claim that doesn't include individuals and the following articles seem to agree. So regardless of the bogus DEAth mongers arbitrary and capricious decisions to disregard Medicine and Science for profits and power. We can toke all we want under state law. Just can't sell it. It also sends a message for any stragglers believing in politicians. That bogus legislation will somehow be redeemed by the same crooked system doing the abuse. The same system reaping the rewards paid by tax payers. Perpetuating the drug war and the jobs maintaining it. Like Mikals. Sickening state of affairs. Off with their heads!

Obama Admin Memo on Medical Marijuana Stirs Dismay
The medical marijuana movement is reeling after the Obama Justice Department released a memo last week declaring that it might prosecute large-scale medical marijuana cultivation operations and dispensaries even in states where they are operating in compliance with state laws.

The memo, written by US Deputy Attorney General James Cole, "clarifies" the October 2009 memo from then-Deputy Attorney General David Ogden that told federal prosecutors not to focus their resources on patients and providers in compliance with state laws.

No One is Outside Federal Marijuana Laws, US Says
A memo from the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington says state laws allowing medical marijuana opened the door to abuses and calls for legally targeting "large-scale, privately operated industrial marijuana cultivation centers" as well as distribution operations known as dispensaries.

ACLU Asks Judge To Throw Out Med Pot Lawsuit
Attorney Dan Pachoda said the governor has no legal basis to try to get what amounts to an "advisory opinion" on whether Arizonans can sell, buy or use medical marijuana in accordance with state law without running afoul of federal anti-drug statutes. He said only when a medical marijuana user, seller or cultivator is charged with violating federal laws will the issue be "ripe" for a court ruling.

Medical-Marijuana Advocacy Group Sees Loophole
The memo does warn that those who “facilitate” large-scale medical-marijuana production are violating the federal Controlled Substances Act.
