ANDREW MELLON, founder of the Gulf Oil Corporation. He knew that cannabis hemp was an alternative industrial raw material for the production of thousands of products, including fuel and plastics, which, if allowed to compete in the free-market, would threaten the future profits of the oil companies. As Secretary of the Treasury he created the Federal Bureau of Narcotics, and appointed his own future nephew-in-law, Harry Anslinger, as director. Anslinger would later use the sensational, and totally fabricated, articles published by Hearst, to push the Marijuana Tax Act of 1937 through Congress, which successfully destroyed the rebirth of the cannabis hemp industry. Can I give you some advice: Concise content goes a long way. Even though you post a lot of factual information, there is simply waaaay to much information, which I'm sure I am not alone in saying the message gets lost as a result. So much info, I usually skip over 90% of your posts, even though I initially agree with your points.
Just saying. . . .

awesome post. i really have to agree with you.. Democracy is a bullshit system if you care about liberty. Two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner does not sound like freedom to me.
i dont know about you guys but in school i pledged allegiance to the usa and the REPUBLIC for which it stands. the republic, wherein my rights as a human being are inalienable, and NO PERSON can make me do anything against my will. the only law is the constituion. fuck democracy and fuck exxon. plenty of yellowstone river gook to be seen on youtube. it's horrible. the entire world is so evil. can we please unite already. change is possible- and coming.

2011 National Drug Control Strategy
Pete Guither DWR The drug war affects every sector of society, straining our economy, our healthcare and criminal justice systems, and endangering the futures of our young people. The United States cannot afford to continue paying the devastating toll of the drug war and its consequences. After 40 years, $1 trillion, US War on Drugs has failed to meet any of its goals AP IMPACT: Associated Press Published May 13, 2010 (excerpted) Using Freedom of Information Act requests, archival records, federal budgets and dozens of interviews with leaders and analysts, the AP tracked where that money went, and found that the United States repeatedly increased budgets for programs that did little to stop the flow of drugs. In 40 years, taxpayers spent more than: — $20 billion to fight the drug gangs in their home countries. — $33 billion in marketing "Just Say No" — $121 billion to arrest more than 37 million nonviolent drug offenders — $450 billion to lock those people up in federal prisons The Justice Department estimates the consequences of drug abuse — "an overburdened justice system, a strained health care system, lost productivity, and environmental destruction" — cost the United States $215 billion a year.
