Fatal Restaurant Shooting

Allegheny County police are investigating a shooting outside a McDonald's restaurant in Penn Hills.

The shooting happened at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 11000 block of Frankstown Road.

Investigators said at least 10 shots were fired in the parking lot.

Witness Nadine Bolgert said she ran to 18-year-old Dalyn Jones after she saw him lying face-down on the ground.

"I saw a couple of kids running over the hills, screaming something, and I saw two cars, one behind the other, going real fast through the drive-through," Bolgert said. "His lung was punctured, because with every subsequent breath, we were asking him questions. He did respond, but you had to ask him questions."

Police said Jones was shot multiple times and was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Family members said Jones was shot six times in his chest.

Investigators said no one else was injured. A revolver was recovered at the scene, but police said it was not used to kill Jones.

Jones was recent graduate of Penn Hills High School.

television news is reporting that this was an attempted robbery of 1/2 ounce of "high grade" marijuana...valued at $200.

the suspected shooter is 15.

^ Well I am not at all phased by it. Two teenagers shooting guns at eachother to the point of death is not news to me. The fact that pot is illegal is the real culprit of this story and I would never blame the human element, only the technical prejudice that forces weed smokers into such negative situations.
