Sad news from New Jersey this Saturday morning.... Jim Miller reports that Cheryl passed away about 9:35 AM EDT Saturday morning at Brick Hospital near their home in New Jersey. Jim said she had a peaceful night and was at her side when she passed. Jim said it was the way it should be, she was feeling no pain and he was able to say goodbye the way he wanted to. Cheryl always had a smile for everyone and a bad word for none. She's finally free of pain. There will a memorial service in New Jersey and her ashes will be interred in her native Oklahoma. Details to follow. Cheryl Miller: Born Heavener, OK May 21, 1946 - Passed into peace Brick, NJ June 7, 2003 She's finally free of pain, but the Home Team will miss her greatly. The Folks at IMMLY http ://www.immly.org immly@immly.org Our Angel has departed Cheryl Miller was my friend, and the friend of every suffering person who is unfortunate enough to find pain relief from the use of marijuana. She is now in the cool embrace of Thanatos, just as every living creature will be, in time. She recently fell ill and had been hospitalized for around 5 days. Her passing is sad, but Jim says, "not entirely unexpected". She did not want any feeding tubes or other extraordinary measures taken to extend her life. Jim was planning to have her brought home, where a hospice environment had been set up. At the end she was comfortable and without pain or spasticity. I am very sad, but at the same time relieved that Cheryl's suffering in this world ruled by tyrants, political opportunists, and disingenuous bureaucrats, has come to an end. She stood taller than most ambulatory persons, especially when speaking truth to power. I am proud to have known, and worked, in the trenches with Cheryl. In some cultures a good death is as important as a good life. I am in that camp. Cheryl spent her last ten years trying to bring truth, justice, and freedom to the United States. Although we are still not Free, there are glimmers of hope. G.
