Study Shows Support Among Missourians for MMJ
http://www.cannabisnews.com/news/20/thread20076.shtml Police Launch Petition Drive Against Pot Law (Excerpted) http://www.cannabisnews.com/news/thread20349.shtml Blustery winds outside the Boone County Courthouse carried harsh words today against the city’s new marijuana ordinance by those who say it reduces possession of a small amount of the drug to "less than a parking ticket." Sterling Infield, president of the Columbia Police Officers Association, or CPOA, led a news conference announcing a petition drive to reverse the ordinance passed in November. City voters also approved a separate law decriminalizing marijuana prescribed for medical purposes, which CPOA does not oppose. Officers plan to go door-to-door in neighborhoods to gather signatures, which will be presented to the Columbia City Council... ------- CPOA fears that people on parole for violent crimes would be treated like first-time offenders, he said... ------- Eleanor Wickersham of the League of Women Voters said it’s wrong for Infield’s group to use parolees as a scare tactic "He’s trying to associate it with rape and murder," she said. What the institute did say about medical use of marijuana by AIDS and cancer patients was "nausea, appetite loss, pain and anxiety are all afflictions of wasting, and all can be mitigated by marijuana." Maybe these experts were duped. Maybe John Walters, unbeknown to us, has medical expertise beyond that of the world's leading physicians and researchers. Or maybe he's lying in a desperate attempt to save a collapsing policy. BRUCE MIRKEN M P P

Now they get to buy a "ticket", then get rehab for pleasuring themselves or relaxing or self medicating. Cause the cops don't get it. Lowest priority doesn't mean targeting or profiling to increase revenues. Hobgobblins do profit if you can make sure the voters don't find the truth. Thats becoming more difficult, as the vote proved. Cops work for the community, they don't whine and pout about having to stop the easy lucrative busts and work on the violent and unsolved crimes. Not enough time or money cause the cop force is looking for Ganja users and ditchweed statistics. Confiscations recycled. Forfeitured retirement ranches. Bloated budgets from the feds highway funds to dopeydare rallies. Ashrist' backyard and Monsanto's homeyland insurance risk of not poisoning everything eradicating pheasant habitat hemp... These cops and the others preceding, and those following in line, have wasted One TRILLION dollars arresting Ganja tokers!
Not enough for two guards to transport a violent prisoner though. Not enough for the hungry or housing and school repairs and programs for kids to occupy their minds instead of violence and addiction and more unsolved crime. Cause their ain't enough money for more paraphernalia they whine? Time to get neutral cops on the beat. Let the DA gather evidence. Eliminate victimless offenses and get real uncensored education. Prohibition causes the drug crimes and it ain't like its working or has it ever worked in the past. Cops go in hating, creating more trauma than any ole doober. Especially to sick ones, kids and frail elderly. If LEO's really can't see why the Ganjawar exists, that the trillion spent so far hasn't gone to someone, who might reinvest in perpetuating more profits. If your risking your ass and can't see why you really do, then should you even be carrying a loaded weapon? Do you think suicide is highest among LEO's for a reason? Do you think your means to this never ending product sold won't wear on your soul? The abuse you write off as justified then can't sleep cause you can't hide from yourself. Booze addiction ramped. Speed for overtime. In the name of Peace you kick down doors and wrestle Polio victims to the floor. Your brotherhood is cause no one else trust you anymore. You no longer live in the same America we do. You bypass our rights for quotas and slave labor still legal here and in China. 2 million Americans caged and who protest against their rights in the name of protecting the rest? The rest who at any time can commit a crime and not even realize it. Why bother with a government when cops see everyone as suspects, already telling the media how guilty they are before the jury even deliberates. Many times to save money and time the courts are bypassed with snipers long rifles putting 8 slugs in the head, for self defense. Using tax money to overturn the will of the people educating themselves on the reality of Ganja and the insanity of the Ganjawar. Peace, Love and Liberty or the DEAth war on everyone... Bill Restricting Tournaments Weeded Out By Xin Li
CN Source: Columbia Missourian March 18, 2005 High school athletic tournaments will go on in Columbia. At least for now. Sen. Chuck Gross, R-St. Charles, has decided to withdraw a proposed bill that would prevent public school tournaments from being held in Columbia because of its marijuana ordinances. In return, a warning letter will be sent to high school athletic teams by the Missouri State High School Activities Association. Sen. Great, now police can go around door to door to find out if you are pro or anti marijuana. It would be a nice way to tag an address for future reference if you're ever in need of a suspect to reach your quota. How groovy!
