Drugged on Democracy
Drugged on Democracy] By Katie Rose Levin
Source: Technician*November 13, 2005 North Carolina Those who believe in a democracy, finical accountability and the U.S. of A., achieved a small but significant victory in Denver. I'm talking, of course, about the local legalization of marijuana (MJ). Although Colorado officials say they'll continue to prosecute under state law, Denverians have joined the sensible in speaking up against the governments racist, wasteful, anti-democratic program: the War on Drugs. First, a bit o' history. Anti-marijuana legislation first came about because people hated Mexicans. As one Texas senator put it: "All Mexican's are crazy and this stuff is what makes them crazy." Then in 1934, MJ laws began to target blacks. "Marijuana influences Negroes to look at white people in the eye, step on white men's shadows and look at a white woman twice," proclaims an editorial. Back then officials used MJ laws to legalize racism and as an excuse to jail minorities. A Circuit Court appeal says that's unconstitutional. Weldon Angelos was a part- time rap producer in Salt Lake City who had a gun when he sold small amounts of marijuana to an informant on two occasions. When police took him down in 2002, they also found guns at his house. For this, the first-time offender got 55 years in prison, far more than he would have gotten if he had been convicted of hijacking a plane, kidnapping or second-degree murder. In fact, the marijuana laws of Colorado and the United States are a profound negation of American principle. First, the marijuana laws are unconstitutional. The Supreme Court denied Woodrow Wilson's attempt to extend wartime prohibition of alcohol to the post-World War I era, necessitating the 18th Amendment, later wisely repealed. Grass-eaters described typical street cops who pocket $10 or $20 from contractors and tow-truck drivers and gamblers. Meat-eaters aggressively exploit situations for financial gain, especially gambling and drugs, where yields can be "thousands of dollars." - 1998 report to Harlem congressman Charles Rangel

Ok I have a little more time now...
![]() That sounds pretty racist to me. I agree that the Ganjawar was predominantly set up to eliminate competition to Dupont synthetic fiber and Monsanto chemicals, Bayer Pharmaceuticals, along with the booze industry producing the Reefer Madness movies. But racism is never about the ignorant rednecks ramblings. That's the red herring to divide and conquer. Stigmatizing a portion of the population to maintain less than a majority. 60 some percent of the Germans were against Hitler but he won the vote the same as Bush. Dividing the voters into several smaller groups with totals less than your own. Nothing new. Racism was very much a part of the plan to eliminate competition. Even the racist "M" word. Ever wonder what a chick named Mary Jane has to do with the properties of Ganja? The propaganda stories fabricated in smoky back rooms all sending the same message. If the lilly white girls smoke Ganja they will end up like Mary Jane or Marijuana, the Corsican slut tequila drinking dancer servicing Poncho's troops. Headlines of the Mexicans and Blacks getting violent. Then changed to passive anti motivational bla bla bla in the 50's. Always since civilization started have their been small groups of power exploiting the masses into obedience for their own good. What would we do with more doctors than patients? Or no traffic jams? Or any of the things morally correct but no profit. Like Peace and preventing illness and ingesting benign plants. Its clearly not the dangers of smoking pot. Its clear hazardous things have victims. 2000+ in Iraq reported daily. 67 years and hordes of Ganja victims just can't be found. Mexicans coming across the border taking American jobs. Hummm it seems CNN is still reporting this one. Sooooo paranoid of "illegals" when its those in office stealing them blind and torturing them endlessly. "For their own good". Poncho Villa the outlaw in Hearst eyes. Against the corporatism IG Farben hoped for the planet like the WTO today. This is fascism, the same as Dyncorps, 99% ditchweed eradication's and Sikorsky CAMP Narkoloonies today. Same Monsanto chemicals not used on hemp. So don't blame me for History and don't ask me to censor it out of some concerns for political correctness. Its ugly, period. People need that message to avoid using this means in the future. Racism is always a tool of the fascists. Always a means to an end. Slaves picking cotton or telemarketing behind bars. The end is to have enough laborers to make the rich their profits with diversions to avoid the plain sight of oppression. TV, Church and Football etc., anything to avoid the dreadful reality. Censored schoolbooks and the FCC keeping it off most mainstream broadcasts. Segregation openly or today's drug laws eliminating poor students from tuition aid. Mandatory sentences on activists and high profile cases. Three strikes assuring profits to the prison industry and its paraphernalia companies. Racism filling the prisons. Classism degrading tokers the same as they did the so called hippies, the same as Anslinger with the Blacks, Mexicans and Jazz Musicians. All not to keep us from Ganja, ending a war doesn't provide profit. Perpetuating the war so NORML lawyers and overzealous DA's keep their paychecks. Growers get $400.00 oz's and Pisstasters get steady work. To eliminate competition and now to profit on prohibition itself is why we have the Ganjawar. Fear mongering is how we keep it. Racism, segregation, censorship, caging, stigmatizing and out right lies are just tools or the trade the same as selling billion dollar stealth bombers and million dollar smart bombs. If anyone reads these racist remarks of Hearst and Anslinger and many other Wall Street homeboys, and doesn't hold the cops, DEAth and the drug thug warriors responsible, Then America will be officially dead and I'll care even less about the sheople selling out their heritage, children and common sense. Omissions for Political Correctness are plain old lies just the same. Using the race card just incites anger (which, is a very good propaganda technique) Yup and that's why they use it, although I would choose a different word than "good". Definitely effective. But read the posts. It ain't me babe. Its the DEAth. Certain American industrialists had a great deal to do with bringing fascist regimes into being in both Germany and Italy. They extended aid to help Fascism occupy the seat of power, and they are helping to keep it there." - William E. Dodd, U.S. Ambassador to Germany, 1937. Continued... Shadow of the Swastika
