Godbud x Dreamweaver (Dream Goddess) 3rd crop
I am currently in the process of making a 5ht generation female mother of this strain (F5). this is the third round of clones from the succession of previous mothers, making this the F3 generation. Have a look at my other thread with the same title to see the wonder of the 2nd gen of this pheno.
I cut the clones from my F2 mother on sept 25th, let them take root, and placed them into my deep water culture (DWC) tubs this morning November 2nd. I will be vegging them for 3 weeks before i decide which is the strongest plant, at which point, that will become the new mother. I am weeding out the bad traits of all the others by only picking the best of the 13 clones that I took. They are in Advanced Nutrients organic nutes at about 600ppm, with a 6.0 pH. I change the tubs weekly, and increase the dose of fert each week as well. I will update pics weekly, if not more often. Hope you all enjoy! ps. after i get the F5 mom of this strain, my next project is either master or mango kush!!! should be about 2 months before i get the F5 mommy, so Im stoked! |

the temps in the low 80s and im keeping em nice and moist, spraying them 5 or 6 times a day until their roots all hit the water. I have lost one so far, but out of 11, I plan on keeping 8 to flower out and the healthiest after vegging will be the new mother. Im always a little sad to see one go, but ive only really got space for 3 tubs (8 plants in 2 containers + the mother in one).
more pics coming in a couple days. theyve all gotten bushier already! cheers! |

well after 4 days Ive lost one of them, but thats still within my tolerances for 8 flowering plants and one mother.
Its funny. Ive grown plenty of crops, but Ive never blogged about it before. It makes me even more impatient because not only am I waiting on them , but I feel like I want to keep the GTGH community updated as much as possible too :P |

Sorry for being a few days late with the weekly update...
I have "weeded" out the plants that I do not wish to keep and am down to the 9 plants that i had planned on. 8 to flower and one, the one with the best traits to pass on, will be my new mother. This will make this the F4 Mother. On friday, the 9th, I changed out the tubs and upped the ppm to the 8-900 range, again I am keeping with the Advanced Nutrients mix that has done me very well in the past, keeping it as organic as humanlny possible. I also added 10ml of CalMag and 10ml Silica Blast. 3ml Hydrogen Peroxide to keep algae away, and some beneficial nematodes. Heres the pRoN: pic 1: all 9 ladies pic 2: tub 1 pic 3: tub 2 pic 4: a look down the line of lights pic 5: the new mother (most likely) |

Week 3!
I couldnt wait til morning to post these. They have only been vegging for 2 weeks now and are about a foot tall and little balls of leaves!
I dont know who said Flouro's arent worth it, but i got an oz+ per plant from my last harvest, and only vegged them for a week (see my other thread in this section with the same basic title)! God, how I love this strain! MOD Thank You for bringing this awesome cross to us! These plants are heavy Indica with internodes 1/4" apart and great formation overall. I have now decided that once i get my F5 mother, I am going to back-cross a few of her clones with a master kush male my friend keeps for breeding purposes. heres the pics after 2 solid weeks of 16/8: pic 1 all the plants pic 2 the tub on the right, the future mother is on the top right pic 3 the middle tub pic 4 the left tub, with the lonely plant that will eventually fill the spot that the mother occupies when i change the solution in the morning. pic 5 all the babies again ![]() enjoy and feel free to comment |

Any stretching between nodes, lanky plants, shorter or taller than norm for the strain, spotty leaves, poor root development, mutations, etc... Basically I am looking for the perfect plant of the bunch to pass on the best possible genes to the next batch of clones

if you wanna be technical about the words i chose, go ahead, but this is supposed to be a positive forum, if you have advice, great, but if you just wanna criticize my choice in words, do it somewhere else i hate it when people are quick to say im wrong, when they dont even read the damn post first... Sorry i can't help you picking the best one for cloning/breeding, but i have to ask, what's the deal with that slide? I've never seen one like that before and it's structure looks kinda like a vape instead of a bowl. And also you said you were gonna smoke some butter? Is that possible? That pick looked like hash oil to me.
Good luck with your picking the alpha female

i put the mother into a tub with around 1000ppm of mostly veg and micro nutes last night.
I also changed the nutes in the vegging tubs to a 900-1000ppm mix to make em explode! pix: |

5 Easy Steps: Step One: Prepare ball of essence at end of a dabber. (recommendation: use a dental pick, or a paper clip) Step Two: Place device on a tube, remove the female globe top; leave the nail in the male apparatus. Strongly recommend using a small tube for this gadget, a 100 ml-250 ml is ideal. Step Three: Using a butane torch heat the top of the nail until most of the ash/coal/residue is burnt off, is this a good indication your hot enough to for the fun to start. Step Four: Place the top on and begin to inhale before applying Concentrate as to not let smoke/vapor escape. Step Five: Sit back, enjoy. voila! the best hash oil hit ever! it is hash oil, from butane extraction, however when it becomes refined enough and you whip it into a consistency like tacky and almost crystalline, it is know as "buDDer" i would never smoke butter :P edit : illl try to upload a vid of it in use, but my camera's dying atm Last edited by Absynth420; 10-18-2009 at 05:49 PM. |

to reiterate.. cloning a plant does not give you a successive F generation. you don't have an F3 mother sitting before you, and you haven't made any "selections." google: Mendel

It would be unusual for anything much to happen to the DNA on cloning.
Successive generations of clones may exhibit variation of phenotype. Loss of vigor might be expected in the long run. Both of the above are not results of variations in DNA but in environment and age. So you may get some variation if you take nine clones but the DNA is still very likely the same in all nine plants. There are mutations but these are rare and often harmful. Not trying to knock your project or put you off, not many times I see plants looking as perky in tubs as those .

like FG says, the typical variation we see from clone to clone is most easily explained by our manipulation of the indoor environment & the hormonal changes that result. more striking patterns might be noted if a virus or mutation enters&affects the line. but if you were to grow them all out into large oldtimer bushes, the vast majority of variations in initial structure would become less apparent..
another point he's right about too A, you're killing it with those tubs.. vigour vigour! great branching surely leads to abundant flowers.. appears you are making the most of what she has to offer.
