This is exactly what you don't want. Plants need calcium and magnesium but don't need sodium.

I'd flush them (with unsoftened, ph corrected water)

Good day people. I'm back. Bought a 30x magnifier as suggested. Took these pics with it and would like to get your expert opinions on where I'm at.

Trichomes are still mostly clear, but well formed. The hairs also haven't really reddened up yet. Cool pics though! If you haven't started flushing its getting close!

I'm seeing some clear and some cloudy trichomes on the second pic which would indicate she's still early but getting there.
On the first pic it looks like there are some amber trichs (ie looks just about ready) but this could just be amber light refracting through them?
The colour of the trichs is an indication of ripeness but the signs do vary with different strains.

I'd say at least another week, maybe more like a fortnight.
If you harvest early this will tend to result in a racy jittery high.

Cool pics btw.

The first pic was taken with my lighting on so yes that's probably why you see the amber trichs. I turned my lighting off for the second pic and used light on magnifier. I'll keep monitoring and post more pics later. Thanks for the advice all.

I live on well water and its hard as hell. This was hard on everything I owned. I put in an RO under my sink for the plants and they work great, didn't even have to correct the ph. The hard water was still a pain so I put in a salt softener to save my appliances and fixtures. The softened water through the RO works fine too, although i have been noticing some small indications of salt stress. I run hyrdo so a small effect for me may not have an effect on a soil grow.

I grew up with well water and it was always thought of as softer than the municipal water. Just saying, nice looking buds =)
