Ready to Harvest?
First crop here. Hoping I can get some advice on whether I'm ready to harvest. Yes I know the leaves look horrible. I'm trying to figure out the problem. Flowering time has been about 6 weeks.

The leaves are supposed to yellow, don't worry. Nute burn on the other hand... . From what I see your issue is excess nutrients. Try using just water, and flushing the growth medium a bit. 6 weeks isn't long enough to be done with flowering. 11, 12 weeks perhaps. If you have a magnifying glass, you can tell by how mature the trichomes are.
Whats your nutrient schedule like? Whats the NPK of your fertilizer? pH of the medium and the water? How much, how often? the more info you give, the easier it is to identify the problem.

It's got a ways to go. They look like they are a bit over half way done.
Note the white pistils coming on strong? (white "hairs") You will have a lot of red ones and the calyx (the part the hairs come out of) will swell up a lot more when you are close to ready. A cheap 30x magnifier will help you on when to harvest. some amber trichomes and lots cloudy generally. You cut that in the next little while and you'll lose the potency, the yield and the length of the stone/high. Patience is a virtue at this stage of the game. Looks pretty good for a first timer, way to go

Thanks for the comments, suggestions and compliment. Much appreciated. I've been using Eco-Bloom at 1 teaspoon per gallon about once a week. I haven't checked the pH of my water or soil. Perhaps that's where I'm going wrong. I'll jump on that right away.

You see the lower leaves with that burnt look to the tips? That's an Mg def.
The upper leaf tips being burnt generally points to over fertilization like has been stated. Too much of one generally stops another from working properly. And too high or low a ph will slow or stop the uptake of nutes. I always start out by using about half the suggested dosing on the bottle.

If you use tapwater, let it stand for 24 hrs to let the chlorine evaporate.

I read somewhere that RO water was fine, wasn't sure about the softener. Anyway I will adjust and we'll see what happens. I think a previous suggestion is probably more accurate, pH or Mg.

and be aware that im pretty sure you might have to correct the ph of distilled water depending how it was stored and shit. no different from other water really just make sure you check the ph as it might be slightly acidic. but you cant go wrong with distilled. Fuck all them pollutants. Tis all i drink.
