hey guys its been a while since i posted here but i need some help i popped a seed and threw it outside and had to bring it in cuz of bugs here a couple pics off it and the leaves have a wierd yellow collor to it and was wondering why it was so lanky got it under 3 6500k t5 reef lights right now gonna nurse her back to health and finish her off out side or maby build a little something inside not sure yet dont kno anything about the gen just it came out of a bag of some good

ok im not a total expert but i have plenty of basic exp and am all self taught. your soil looks like some shitty potting soil from lowes. you are what you eat and this goes for the plant as well. it looks clumpy and the light brown to me says maybe its a bit sandy? this type of soil is usually acidic and i think your probelm is definantly PH even if im wrong about the sandy "acidic looking" soil im pretty sure thats a PH issue. come to think of it maybe its too alkaline, i remember serious yellowing issues from watering with spring water (ph8-8.5) and not what you should use, distilled water (ph5-6)

also your soil does not have enough perlite, go buy a massive bag, dump, mix and then water big time with distilled. never use tap, no fluoride means better medicine. if you have a fluoride filter you can use that which is what i have, but you have to ajust the ph yo self.

its a bag of organic potting soil but when i potted it up i added dirt from my garden so its not the best but this is more for fun really was surprised she even survived she was in the heat with no water for like 2 weeks i couldnt get to her and she was still goin strong when i got to her lol

edit:btw see all the three leaves she dont have very many true leafs its wierd

That's crazy. Never seen that before.

The leaves are discoloured between the veins- most likely this indicates magnesium deficiency. Epsom salts contain mg, you can try adding about 1 teaspoon per gallon of water, might help.

Probably the cause is underwatering, or maybe like profit said could be a pH issue with the soil or the water.

What wattage are the reef lights? 6500k is perfect for vegging .

As the plant grows bigger you might see the number of fingers on the leaves go up, 5,7 etc. Usually they are odd numbered.

What were the bugs?
