hello everybody this is the situation-were now at week 8 of flowering and im tinking if chopping them down the trichomes are clear to cloudy depending where u luk
and ive found sum ripened seeds
plus ive already dried and cured and smoked sum and its very mongy
but after flipping to 12/12 the didnt show sex for 2 weeks so wud it b worth the elec and give them another week or 2?-as ive read that the buds put on a lot of bulk in the last week or so?wudnt wanta harvest 2 early?
the leaves r yellowing as well here and there aswell
i think its ready myself im just lukin for guidence
oh before i forget theres a few place still chuckin pystils out is this normal?

I did read somewhere that with this strain they really did get better when going the full ten weeks, i can't remember what it said exactly but i do remember it was pretty positive mate, don't harvest just yet give me a day and i will try to find that thread i was reading to see what it said, i will try to find it and post you the link to see for yourself mate. i read it just as i was putting my seeds in so can't remember exactly what it said, but i will find out for you

nice 1-ive just had poke around with my magnifier and i think a week wudnt harm but no longer than end of feb
i fink urs will go big mine were really slow 2 begin but quickly put on weight

One thing I'd say to anyone who says they got good buds but rubbish high. That's the genetics, BIG BUD is just that, but it's a rubbish smoke, whereas WW is a potent smoke. With BBxWW though, you have to leave to go full term as it is only the last 2 weeks when the WW kicks in properly. Have those who complain about potency been harvesting too early I wonder? I use a loupe to make sure the trichomes are as they should be, and got some wicked BC following the mostly milky all over with tops just starting to go amber - beautiful high off the BC that way.

the info is a bit thin on the ground for this strain-all i found was a description stating
u get huge buds dripping wiv resin and will finish between 7-8 weeks?
not sure if ill grow this again-even though the yield is very good
my mate reckons the best smoke he had was "marleys colley"
i wont b doin another grow til oct probly now so got lots of time 2 decide

there is next to no info, but i have seen what some other growers have done and said about it. It seems to be a bit mixed with this hermie thing but theres been quite a lot of grows that haven't gone hermie and if mine don't i will be well chuffed after the shit they had, but i will be doing them again deffo, i may just order some seeds and keep them back for a while,
I was hoping to get some cutting straight after this grow, wouldn't mind cuttings as it seems a long time from seed so i have gotta get another bit of space and some extra stuff to keep a mother, as FG said for me to take some cutting of these but i just aint got the room yet and it will be a shame if they turn out to be good ones

If they're still chucking pistils you will get more yield if you wait- but it will get more mongy too...
Ripened seeds means pollen was around a while back but if there are no new seeds then you are prolly ok now as far as the herm issue goes.

Big bud- well the origional was an afghani cultivar which was some pretty good smoke by all accounts.
The first seeds sold as big bud were 3/4 of this original afghani and 1/4 northern lights. Neville Shoenemakers (sp?) bred this version.

Presumably it was some version of that bb/nl that was crossed with WW to give jed's plants. Or perhaps that bb/nl crossed with skunk, then crossed with WW.
Just I don't think anyone still has the original big bud, or if someone does they really aren't sharing it out atm.
WW probably is a good candidate for the cross in many ways as it is known for its strength so I think you're right there seansplace.

I'd think the quality might vary from seed to seed- if you found the right pheno you might end up with a plant with the best qualities of WW and BB.
I think the odds would be slim to get everything in one perfect plant though, often this is where other problems crop up such as mold, hermies etc.
