No idea on those strains tbh, I'm not familiar.
Sometimes though, two excellent strains may not work together. You never know.

Group shot, MH lady, another MH lady (I think), and a close up of the second MH.
Looks like I have 2 MH girls and 2 confirmed girl and one hopeful female OHSK's

And a short OHSK lady, + close up, then a tall suspected OHSK lady + close up.
Everything looks very healthy. Feeding has been very light, these plants are very frugal, especially with nitrogen.

So I culled the males after taking cuts of them all. I can't be bothered with looking after full size haze cross males.
They smelled very strongly while I was wielding the axe, which bodes well for their sisters. There are 2 confirmed female MH's and 3 OHxSK's. First up the MH's with a macro for luck.

Then the OHxSK's.
The first two are relatively squat, the third looks more haze dominant.

Group shot, now under HPS.
Note the claw from 2 of the plants.. their nutrient requirements are different from the other three. Lesson learnt. I hope to sneak in some shots with non HPS colour balance at some point. Shit gets unruly.

This is my fave MH plant as things go thus far.. probably the most hazey with a very pleasant fruity aroma. Apart from a bit of claw she is doing very well.
I had her out of the cab so took the opportunity to get some pics in natural light.

.The piece of blue wire is supporting a side branch which I clumsily almost broke off.. it wasn't a big deal as it is only one of the lower branches but it was pretty easy to do and seems to give the needed support. The claw is indeed when the leaves curl down on themselves like that, probably caused in this instance by too much nitrogen. I really haven't fed them much but these types of plant will pretty much live on just air, water and light. That is a characteristic of plants with haze genes in them.

Experiments with colour balance
So I'm trying to correct the colour balance to compensate for the HPS lighting, with a certain amount of success.
First a couple of shots of a haze x skunk plant, then a group shot and finally a MH (the other one than in the post above).

Thanks Chiken
.Your eyes are not deceiving.. these plants (both the MH and the OHxSK are (according to the blurb) of 50% haze descent, so the sativa in them does indeed tend to make them stringy. Hopefully the finished product will be reward enough.. also because of the longer flowering time the veg time is proportionally less, so for the outlay in time and leccy bills the yield may well even out. Time will tell.

So Is Mr Watson Sam Skunkman? I know Scott Blakey is Shanti so I thought both strains where Mr Nice when I read the first post. The Skunk/Haze I mentioned in my last post where the Mixed Batch x Skunk/Haze, but have since made another order (can't be helped!) and this time got the O.Haze x Skunk #1 as the freebie. Probably be a little while before I pop them as I have a backlog of plants on the go! Will have to remember to visit here more often, I don't come to yahooka anymore for no apparent reason, I just seem to go on autopilot around my usual sites and forget about here ![]() E2A:- They are looking lush! .Yes he is, apparently. They (the OH x SK's) seem a bit less leggy than some pics I've seen but everything does smell a bit of haze to a greater or lesser degree. Seem pretty awesome for freebies anyhow! A lot of companies would want big bucks for anything with haze in it. The MH smell the best so far but it is early days yet.

Yeah, some the O.Haze plants do look surprisingly short for sativas doms, all good though especially if you've happened across some easily manageable haze phenos.
The more I read about the MH the higher up my hitlist it climbs! |

Then the other MH, which judging by the smell might turn out to be better smoke. She leans more to the NL and less to the skunk I'd guess. I always was a sucker for NL. The pics don't really do justice but she is very sugary as you can see.
