The o haze x sk are indeed the freebies from the boo. Thought it would be nice to do them side by side with the MH.

I have a plan to sort the phenos early.

I've potted them in fairly light soil.. I'm not going to feed them at all and the ones which lack N first should be the more SK or NL phenos.. once they have revealed themselves then I can feed them according to their needs. That's the plan anyway.

pic1 MHs to the left, OHSKs to the right. The OHSKs are a bit more variable at this time.

The soil is a "soiless mix" plagron light, mostly sphagnum, perlite and a bit of peat. No nutes have been used up to the last pic, they have mostly been living on light, water and love. FA nutes.

Lights are blue 200w envirolites- the big cfls.

I've got a good feeling about these plants. They are showing good vigour in veg.

SAF always said...

I potted them up and put them under a metal halide lamp. Light schedule is now 12/12.

All seems good.

Temps are a little cooler than ideal, around 22C under the lights, around 14C with the lights off.

They've been given nutes once only so far. They are fairly frugal it seems.

I'm going to give them some epsom salts next feed- see the new growth is a little yellow and twisted in the last pic? I often find plants like to be given a little epsoms when they're put under HIDs.

Epsoms

When's the correct time to start using epsoms? ...Veg? Pre-flower? Flower?

Is there much of a variance in NL or SK? I thought they were pretty stabilized?

Epsoms might be needed at any time- but I usually start around preflower then continue till the flush.

Sorry, just re-edited the line you quoted headsrnice- the NL and SK would likely need more N than frugal sativa type hazes.

Skunk#1 is supposed to be an IBL, I think NL is too, where as haze is an unstable polyhybrid.

Having said that I've seen a lot of variance in different versions of skunk..

I would be surprised not to see considerable variance among these plants. The MH do look pretty consistent atm.

I don't mind selecting among the phenos- more choice .

IBLs are good for breeding- and also for people who need consistency and only grow from seed.

Wasn't the Blueberry developed from a skunk pheno?

No. BB is Thai, Mexican and Afghan. Perhaps they may have some vaguely common ancestry but they are pretty far removed IMO.

Are you planning on flowering them all, or doing some breeding as well?

First of all I'm going to take cuttings of each plant so I can keep anything which turns out really good.

Once they are sexed I'm going to remove the males and flower the girls. I may well make some seeds, probably using LAcon and/or Deep Chunk pollen.

That's the plan, plans can change of course.

The LA and Chunk would be a sexy mix. Any thoughts on how a Purple Trainwreck and a Cheesus might work? I know some strains that are crossed just don't work together well.
