There should be a "macro" function. It's usually just a button but some time it's found in the menu.

Quite often it's resembled as a flower. I.E. Taking close pictures of flowers.

I'm only on a 7.2megapixle camera, megapixles really prove nothing, it depends on how good your lens is. It's a point and shoot though, so chances are a 10megapixle would have a better lens than mine, but not always.

i just cant seem to turn out good pics of my nugget. i'm using a casio 10.1 mega pixel camera. that dose not have a macro setting that many of you use. it does have a mode for taking pics of flowers which i figure is the best one.

it takes a really good lens to do that, i'm just lucky to have a point and shoot with a decent macro lens. it's a sony 7.2m with just a tiny bit better lens than standard. it's the carl zeiss version of it.
