Kosh, lots of Perlite, yeah! about 20% with another 20% vermiculite.i likeperilitebut have found that although it makes a niceairy mix whilst retaining moisture and nutes it can be difficult for the plants to use the water and nutes held. running with a res and drippers is nice and easy now biobizz do a clear and ungoopy organicfert but i still find with my teas drippers soon clog and actually prefer to run a pseudo flood and drain.

Bio bizz is next on the list to try so when I do the spaghetti will come out and we'll have a play. But imust say idon't REALLY like drip irrigation, or at least it needs a lot of attention, i note that the girls seem to perform best when the soil is nearly due a watering so you would have to set your drip to be pretty sparing, blahblah.

Oh yeah, for note anyone reading this, ALWAYS set one drip line to run to a measuring jug so you can see just how much water your plants are getting over 24 hours.

If you really wanted to be organo-smart you could just prepare a soil mix that will take you through that grow stage with no added nutes required and then drip.

Regarding round and square pots, i haven't noticed any differeence though one would guess a round pot is friendly to a root ball (we've all seen how roots like to run around andaroundand aroundin pots) but squarearefriendlier to the gardener. Tessalation man! It's all about tessalation!

Asforwater,prewarmed toroom temp is the best way, i fill loads of six litre milk containers and they are left bubbling to dechlorinate for a couple of days before they are used, during this time they will warm a little but not always enough so if come watering they aren't I will fill a sink with piping hot water and let the milk containers sit in therew for a few minutes and warm through.

you know what i like that's between organic and hydro, coco coir, now there's a medium that makes everyone happy.

Flamingnun, i know, itruns in the family. If all else fails, stick a rizla on it.

Better be careful of the coco you buy

Some is not as good as others.

My partner thought of that same idea not long ago... drippers in the pots.
Would have to be a ring of drip, otherwise you would have one drip... top to bottom.
What a drip LOL

I do the same thing with the jugs, but why do you airate? (sp)
I do for my teas, but not for my nute mixes.

After 8 months curing, this Shiva has been my smoke of choice. Cant have enough of her.

This year i m trying Biobizz soils myself. One batch with light mix (and nutes) and another batch with all-mix and minimum nutes added.

Thanks guys. Hey Peace, if you sue All-Mix make sure the plants are a couple weeks old, it's pretty HAWT!

Glad you liked the Shiva. It has problems but find a good one and it's a fine smoke. Complex and high, very clean and up, certainly for it's genetic heritage.

Anyway, few more shots for you as we move into bloom, still early but most are piling on trichs if not weight.

I am disapointed so far with the vigour of bloom and am wondering how much is the new nute regime (they look healthy enough), how much is down to strains, how much is down to needing to work with them more, and how much is to do with the cold.
