About life.

You won't get any transcendental experiences unless you meditate. Which you can do without weed. Though some people say weed helps them to meditate easier, but I find this to be untrue in my case.

They are also smoking hash.

Experiment! Create your own rituals, that's what I do. The experience isn't about how or what you do, it's about the intentions put behind it. If you believe that when you smoke you get stoned and that's it, then that's what will happen. If you put some belief behind it you can accomplish a lot more. bongsmilie

I find marijuana spiritual, but I also find lack of marijuana spiritual.

Its just my experiences with it and the things I do/places I go inside of myself while stoned and dealing with issues related to marijuana, even loosely.

You'll find whatever you want with whatever you want. Just depends on how hard you ask the question. Just don't expect an answer...but more of a better way if asking the question.

You can use marijuana to open your mind, nothing more, nothing less.

I wouldn't bother trying to embark down this road if I were you, their are alot more useful drugs out their if you wish to have spiritual experiences, even then your body and mind must be ready, and truly willing.

No drug is inherrently spiritual.

As sandman_130 said, that it would ultimately be beneficial if through the power of suggestion marijuana helps you spiritually.

I contend that marijuana can also be spiritually helpful because it offers you an altered perspective and affects you in such a way that you become open to new ideas, thoughts, suggestions, etc.... To me, the willingness and openess to readily consider new things is part of what defines spirituality. Spiritual people (not to be confused with religious people) are by far comprised of a certain type of openmindedness.

if you use it daily or abuse it, it's certainly not.
but if you use it in the way that v3d4 and countless others (including myself) have you'll get results.

Ask yourself questions while on the drug and meditate while on it. Pay attention to your dreams/visions you might get on it.

who says that pot can't be a spiritual drug?
Same goes for stuff like DMT, salvia, LSA (morning glories), various cacti/fungi, certain chemicals, and even LSD.

I didn't write this but here's something that has to do with pot and meditation.

For anyone looking to use Cannabis as a tool toward spiritual growth, I highly recommend sifting through the website of The World Mind Society. It contains tutorials for general meditation practices as well as guides to meditation while riding on herbal wings.

Here's a good article to start with: Chakra Meditation/Herbal Chakra Meditation

Huh... interesting replies lol...

Anyways, I'm with Hedons on this one. No drug is inherently spiritual. IMO, the consciousness or perspective of the individual is the spiritual part of the equation. When you ingest drugs through whatever means that perception is altered to certain degrees. The further the deviation from mainstream consciousness and the type of deviation dictates if it's spiritual or not in the mind of the individual. So people will say "Well mushrooms is a much more spiritual drug than marijuana."

If you want to have spiritual benefits so to speak from marijuana, you have to construct a setting and mentality that encourages the sort of contemplation that you want. Marijuana then aids a person in achieving a desirable mental environment. For instance, it may be difficult after a frustrating day for someone to calm down and enter a meditation like state. Marijuana, by altering your body chemistry temporarily, provides you a short cut so to speak to bypass the anger and frustration. Then you can work your way backwards to remedy yourself of it.

You have to find what really works for you. Experiment. Smoke in different places, out in nature, in your room, in the city, cruising, etc. And see how/if each place is different. Accompany it with music, as music is always a powerful catalyst of experience. Etc.

They're tools at your disposal, just practice with them basically. Hope it helps.

getting in touch with one's spiritual self means getting in touch with one's authentic self

no manual can teach you how to be spiritual. if you refer to a manual, you are not being your authentic, spiritual self.

if you want to use marijuana for spiritual purposes, it may help you discover your inner feelings and thoughts that you never thought u had or had access to. get in touch with these thoughts as well as thoughts you have already.

clear your mind, think of anything...spiritual ity comes from within.

pursure your thoughts and ideas in a clear, healthy mind...then see what happens.

im not much of a spiritual guru, but i am a philosophy student...i hope my advice was of some help

good luck and pleasent dreams

You could try and get in touch with yourself while high, but it's a high chance you wont obtain any knowledge from it.

being under the influence of anything only gets you to the lower astral planes. Which is alright, but not as intense as the higher planes offer...
