Does no one here understand that, in debate or discussion, clarity is much more important than agreement? And this does not mean to say that you can take, for example, Waves' clarification on his understanding of the terms "judge" and "assess," picking it apart and finding where his understanding does not agree with yours (or your dictionary's). At least he put forth the effort to make himself clear. The least you could do is understand that clarity without without finding semantical disagreements (which seems to be the only disagreement anyone in this thread has with anyone else).

If you seek clarity, everyone's ideas will be understood. Debate is useless, because everything other than clarity is based on fearful emotions.

How is debate useless?

And how is semantics the only disagreement anyone in this thread has with another? I think my disagreements are a bit more than semantics.

As far as waves and snapshot, that whole conversation could've been summed up to: "I use the word judgement when anything has to with good/bad, right/wrong, better/worse, and assessment when you don't consider the good/bad, right/wrong, better/worse." Than snapshot could've went "Okay, I use the dictionary." And boom it's done.

The rest is mostly just people trying to keep from being seen as "wrong." Fun stuff.

its weird because i said what i meant by judgement like on page two and people still carry on with their semantical arguments

and of course, the fact that i argue against concepts like right and wrong then go on to defend my "rightness" should show just how strong of a hold these concepts have on our puny monkey-brains
