dont be foolish, any of God's gifts may be abused. people abuse technology and language and eachother every day with deadly results.
bu if we have faith the size of a mustard seed, even mountains will move for us. if we dont abuse God's gifts, then their use can be dedicated to the benefit of all living things, for the glorification of God

Thanx and Praises!

You're all wrong

Every plant has a purpose... that does NOT mean that because a plant causes a psychoactive effect, that is the purpose of the plant . Cocaine can numb pain (which was pretty important when plants were used for medicine)... particularly tooth pain. Personally I've never used cocaine for anything but that doesn't mean that I don't see a purpose. Miss Mary Jane is one of the most important medicines here in Gods' kingdom I was reading some government bullshit today listing uses for various 'drugs' and under marijuana, it said "NONE" ... as an herbalist witness of the medicine... disgusting lie .

2nd law... medications can be abused... and stand to be physically and psychologically addictive as is sugar and chocolate and sex (at least I can still have sex goddamn this friggin' "sacrifice" .lol grr... bitchy bitchy). People sometimes confuse 'natural' with 'safe'. You just have to be educated about what you are doing. No offense, second law but I don't buy into the 'sin' thing either. There is a natural law of reciprocity and then there are some things that may have a higher purpose but if there is, it's awefully difficult to see from 'down here'. God loves UNCONDITIONALLY, from my perspective and the 'forbidden fruit' was the knowledge of good and evil (aka... JUDGEMENT causing war, fear, dis-ease, distrust, etc).

No1... I'm not going to argue Gods' existance with you. You go ahead and be worm food... it's going to be needed to sustain my future life (see... bitchy )

At least if there is an afterlife, it'll be populated with souls like yourself....

There is hope for me still!

lol

I wouldn't want to live with me right now... studying for a 'drug test' while also on a diet... watch out! ... knowing that I NEED the job, giving up my weekends and singing with hubby's band and all... excuses God is OK with my bitchiness

I guess I can't fathom 'nothing' and since I perceive the presence of Spirit, I must believe that it is true. If I viewed the world differently, I may believe as you. I've seen proof... but we could easily turn this into a 'there is a God/ there's not a God' convo... I'll refrain. Sorry

To tell you the truth I'm not sure whats next, no clue.

I don't want to profess a knowledge of whats coming either, whether my own or something someone taught me, life so far has shown me that everything is as random as it could possibly be. Plenty of us grew up together, same environment, same nurturing and we all turn out as different as snow flakes. To look down the road and say I know whats around that bend never having been there before, I don't know...

Unfortunately, there is only one way for us to find out, and there isn't any way to come back and tell anyone how it all worked out. I guess I just play it by ear, try not to leave too many foot prints and hope that everything goes okay. Much like this life, thats pretty much anyone could hope for.

this is so funny!!!! I was in a writing workshop this weekend and the teacher made a statement that went something like: "if you just throw in everything onto the page, your story would be impossible to follow. You wouldn't have an interesting story, you'd have a bunch of random crap. Of course, putting everything on the page and then whittling away at it until a statue appears is definately a smart way of approaching the formation of a narrative."

Even then I thought "holy christ, what a metaphor for life!"

Then I come here and blam I find the exact post that warrants this reply:

Perhaps God did put "every experience" on this planet...but as days go by, perhaps "God" is slowly progressing his story...weeding out tangents and parts that don't "fit" in what he wants his book to be. Not a judgement "this is bad" or "this is good" but simply "I want my story to be about X, Y, and Z" (24 hours later...) "no, I want my story to be about X and Z." Perhaps Y will be in my next book.

Basically, I think everything is progressing towards something. And perhaps one expression of that progression is the slow methodical "chizeling" of the everythingness into the (oddly enough) greatest story ever told.

Shrug.

^ I like that analogy! I'll have to steal it.

This is what I try to get at when I talk about Infinity. There is literally EVERYTHING open to you, every tool and every material. With an infinite amount of tools and materials at hand, infinite creations are possible. With an eternal amount of time, infinite creations are a matter of fact.

So given this, we have all already progressed toward everything! It's truly a lovely thought!

Well almost everything's a sin, but do you think God cares that much about all of them? Do you think being fat's a ticket to hell? And do you have a source for things that only hurt yourself being sins?

Gluttony's defined as either excessive consumption (of anything, so it could be alcohol/drugs) or withholding something from others so you can use it yourself, so as long as you keep your smoking under control and share your weed, how would it be a sin? A lot of otherwise permissible activities become sins when the activity/emotion becomes more important to you than God is, so as long as you're not letting weed be the focus of your life I don't see the problem.

Its a simple question. The answer is simple.
Look inside, and listen to your heart.
Your heart doesn't lie,
what does your heart say?
When you get your answer, you'll know.

for what its worth?
I know in my heart, that smoking a good old spliff with friends, or with my lover, is good, and does no wrong. And I know that God has no issue with that.

I also know, that abusing something is bad... too much of a good thing...

Talking

well, imho, it does say in the bible that you're not supposed to be drunk all the time.. but it says nothing about marijuana use... and it does say that he gave us all the green plants, so i would say it's more of a common sense issue.. if you are smoking weed and not letting the weed smoke you (aka control you, obsessing over it, having that be your only source of enjoyment) and are not really doing anything bad and you just like to smoke sometimes then i really dont think theres a problem.. the problem is when you become obsessed over it and thats all you wanna do ..trust me ive seen it happen to people .. hope that helps
peace like chicken grease..bongsmilie

Ok, i change my view.

I could give a fuck less what god wants. I want alot of things but do I get them? Nope

If god didn't want meth, Acid, and coke in this world he wouldn't have created chemists and gave us that knowledge.

Like I said, I don't even give a fuck. What has god done for me when my people and I was in jail? nothing
What did he do when I was struggling with addictions? Nothing
What did he do when I prayed and prayed for alot of things? nothing

I don't even believe in god.
