As long as you aren't treating your smoking like an addiction to crack and screwing up your life, and yes people do it, then I think God is fine with it. Why did he make sex so enjoyable? Why did he create so many different things for us to eat and make most of it so tasty? I think he has a reason for everything and whether we are using this plant the way he intended (which I think is medical reasons, but our government refuses to realize its vast amounts of medical use) he put it here for us and gave us free will to decide how to use it.

The God that I know is not at war (with anyone or anything). The God that I know IS LOVE. The God that I know does not judge (that's Santa who has the naughty/ nice list). The God that I know gave us free will. It is all up to us... God loves us... we are suppose to 'be like Him' not 'be slave to Him'. The emodiment of God reminds of the potential we have, to love one another as brothers and sisters ... to see into the heart rather than with the eyes... to connect with one another on a spiritual level and to leave the judgement to the fanatics. If you want to know what God thinks, ask God 'He' wants you to be happy, healthy, and wise. The herb helps to remind us of our spiritual self if it is taken with thanks. THE LAW OF THE LAND is what makes it a sin.... not the law of God. Some believe that 'the devil' is in the hearts and deeds of men. Driven by FEAR and desire to rule (greed/ fear packaged together). Is there a little dude with a pitch-fork in a firey pit? I rather doubt it... just as I doubt there is a big guy with a long white beard and a naughty/ nice list sitting upon a cloud and judging us. We ARE HIS CHILDREN... HE does NOT send us to hell... we determine the course of EVERY life by our HONESTY, COMPASSION... by the purity of our hearts. So, all ya gotta do is to ask yourself if smoking weed makes your heart impure.... then ask yourself what makes your heart pure as the morning? WAKE and smile and move with intention and a smile.

I'm saying everyone knows what being a good person is. It's not adhering to some or the other doctrine. It's helping out people, being nice to folks, that stuff. Everyone knows how to do it. That's what ethics is about.
