^Yeah, my dad and I were talking about that special a week ago.
From what he relayed (I didn't watch it), Jesus (or Issa, as he is known in eastern religions) traveled to the east in an attempt to find the lost tribes of Israel, and discovered Buddhism and Hinduism. He was recieved as a Jewish Prophet. After spending time there studying, he returned to the Middle East and spread the love and acceptance aspects of Eastern religions, and was persecuted for these beliefs. The documentary also claims that he did not simply ascend to heaven after his tomb was unsealed, but rather that he traveled back to India, where there is allegedly a tomb containing his remains. They cite the fact that Jesus' followers in the Bible are said to have tended his remains for several days after his crucifixion. It is presumed that at this time they were healing him. What else would they be doing?
