Getting Deep

It just sounds like a better way than "getting high" to describe the spiritual effects of marijuana.

That's all.

This was much more above board than I expected......

I agree Rev nice thought. I call it getting heady, because I and the people around usually end up getting into some wordy talks.

after buying a kush flavored blunt wrap and getting deep about, thirty minutes or so ago i drove home so deep i felt like i saw visions of my death. now when i say visions i dont mean like actual pictures, but i felt like i was getting vibes on how it was gonna happen and what it felt like.. i entered a state of mindfuck and the only thing i can describe was the terror i invisioned. sounds crazy but it was something i cant explain

R1bal I've had things like that a lot. Cannabis sure is an interesting one.

Rev, I like this statement.

I often refer to it as "going in", but I refer to that with a couple other natural spiritual hallucinogens as well.

the best is when you get into a deep convo and express your opinion and the other person just can't handle it and shuts down completely. god you know you've won when that shit happens.

I feel like I'd rather have the person get a taste of what I'm saying. It's weird for me to perceive that I'm talking above or out of someone's relm. It'd be cool if just one word sunk in, but I guess it's all seeds to be planted and I learn to express myself in a down to earth manner.

I don't even have to get high (deep, in, fucked up) with someone for this to happen. I just start discussing spirituality with my wife. I seriously freak her out, bad.

word, it's no fun if no one in the room understands you. Much better to bounce ideas off people who GET them so that they can give you feedback.

Or are on a page where they can understand in their own way, enough to add some main ingredients to the conversation doing more than just eating what you put infront of them, even if you do most of the chopping

I had this conversation with my best friend the other night and essentially my viewpoint LITERALLY caused him to kick me out of his house. I mean it was 2am and we were pretty drunk, but apparently this pseudo-botanist (if you get my drift) finds MY position on the police and the job they do appalling (I have a negative view of both).

... pretty strange stuff, I would think if you can't handle someone elses opinion you're probably not mature enough to converse in any way shape or form. /rant

I believe it was taken by the porn industry a while ago. And 'getting heady' is not far off either!

For me mj doesn't help me spiritually... It helps me discover myself though, so you could say that is my spiritual event. I always find out something about how I feel, I also gain the ability to read others emotions really well... but again not sure if i can say it helps me spiritually.

I like the 'Gettin' Deep' description, Rev....some friends have said that to me in the past after burnin' one...

Some others I also like....

Gettin' hungry, came from a good friend I met here...

Talkin' to Bob has always been a favourite.

But, my all time favourite has been Swim Practice.
After 'gettin deep' I asked a friend if he had any Visine because I had to hit the road. He told me to put my head underneath the faucet in the kitchen and he would give me a towel. Then he says, 'If a cop pulls you over, just tell him you got out of swim practice!'

WHAT?!!

I like your term, Rev.

Here's an ancient reference to "getting high":
And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built, and the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her. (1Kings 10:4-5)
Ascent in Greek is 'olah: Feminine active participle of 'alah; a step or (collectively stairs, as ascending); usually a holocaust (as going up in smoke).

Went up in Greek is 'alah meaning to ascend, intransitively (be high) or active (mount).

Thoughts anyone?
