Mushroom Space
Mushroom space is a divine space, a place of paradoxes, spirit, mind, meaning, beauty, and wonder. It is totally other and unknown, yet familiar and intimate. It is a ephemeral dream, but also compleatly real and imbued with a sense of truth and fundementle reality.
It is intelligent and alive, organic, flowing, transformative, fluid, open, inviting, playfull, serious, insightfull, sacred. It is a space of knowledge and fascination, otherworldly awe, overflowing with intuition, lesons to be learned, things forgoton, things unknown. It is a space of light and sound, wind and water, voices and images, flowing and changeing..an eternal dance of becoming. It is the matrix of perception, the matrix of being, the constant pulse and creation of life, consciousness, and spirit. It is the space of the ultimate mind, the interconnectivity of all things, the spirit of life, of higher consciousness, of alien intelligence, of hyperdimensional starseeds of awarness. It is the vastness of the omniverse, a great ocean of vibration, the great music of existance. It carries within it information of all things in all times in all places, for it IS the web of existance. It is communication. It is a space of knowledge and sharing. It is the space that pulls away the masks of all limitations to reveil the world as a living presense, intelligent, purposefull, knowing, and compasionate. Within this space, all things come to be, following there paths, returning to the source of spirit, rising and falling together in great harmony, all part of the same whole, the same organic being, the same unity, the same totality. It is chaos and order, flux and change, ebb and flow, life and death, immanent and transendent. it is beauty.

Something all expirenced Mushroom Eaters know, but that inexpirenced often find suprizing, is that the mushroom expirence comes in waves. As they start to come on, the waves are subtle and difficult to precive or contemplate. This is the "something is happening but i dont know what" stage, which quickly progresses to "everythings moving!" and "look at the colors!", if the mushrooms are strong enough. The waves most often generate from the abdomen, or more percisely, where the mushrooms are in the body. Mushroom waves are multifaceted. they effect all aspects of being. there is a visual, cognitive, physical, emotional, and spiritual components to the wave. Each wave reaches its natural peak and then fades away, only to be replced by another wave, though expirenced mushroom eaters know how to shape waves so they can be diminished or prolonged.
At some point the mushroom eater reaches the peak expirence, often within the first hour or two. this is when the mushrooms are the strongest. the waves build up in intensity and frequency, much like a gathering storm. They then break over ones consciousness and being. The seeker is now fully in the mushroom expirence. The peak can be very dissorienting. Mind and emotions are not where they are normally expected to be. Bodily and spatial limits are overcome. The mushrroms eater IS the expirence of the mushrooms, not the brain inside a body. The mushrooms eater IS the patterns, the colors, the thoughts, the emotions, the dreams that sweep over one. If it is a particularlly intense mushrooms expirence, they may lose sense of there immediate physical body. some describe it as an out of body expirence. For others it might be the expirence of taking up all the space inside a room, forest grove, or mountain or sky. in other words, it can both be dislocating and expansive. After the peak, the waves last longer and are gentler. Depending on the strength and amount of mushrooms consumed, this gradual decline of the expirence can take one to several hours. Most mushroom eaters having a good expirence try to prolong the waves to get as much out of them as possible, not wanting the magical expirence to end. Eventually the waves become soo subtle that they simply wash away and mushroom eaters find themselves back in a normal state of consiousness. They re-establish habitual cognitive and emotional boundaries as they become "myself" once more. If the mushroom eater has done it right, and used the mushrooms as a tool, and not just as entertaing light and psychic show, he will have a completly differant understanding of who this person called "me" actaully is, and his veiwof the world and all things in it could be profoudly alterd as well.

I find that every mushroom trip starts with fear. I can sense the trip coming, like a surfer waiting for the tidal wave that is forming on the horizon. Mastering that fear becomes the key to the trip; learning to let everything happen, including the fear, opens the mind for what is to come.
I would imagine, if God were to appear to me, it would be terrifying yet joyous, much like a shroom trip. Maybe, EXACTLY like a shroom trip. ![]() The Rev |

I disagree with the statement that it starts with fear. In my experience its anticipation (a type of mild fear), but I would not go as far as to say that it is fear because I associate fear with a negative connotation. However a trip is a positive experience.
