We know nothing is never going to happen to you, Mysis. You're too nice.
Must be getting a little late for you tonite. No one mentioned anything about a New World Order or conspiracy theories. Buying a little extra food for emergencies is common sense, millions of your peers do that. You probably even save money (unless someone's taking care of you), in case you come across lean times..or am I drinking Kool Aid for saying that? These aren't wild concepts. It's what responsible adults do.
I don't even see anyone freaking out about 2012. We're just trying to have some "spiritual" conversation. And, you know, who cares if someone wants to freak out about 2012. You want to censor that? Who let Cheney in.

I don't know why you got so angry about someone wanting to save money or food, but maybe there is some fear issue that got aroused in you..
I'm about as non-confrontational as a fat girl playing a guitar,as Dylan used to say. I can give you "main stream" quotes using the words New World Order as a good thing, all sweetness and light. Where's the conspiracy theory and again ..who cares? Why does it upset you to the point that you have to spend Friday night looking at all my old posts. What's the obsession?
Look, you're the official queen of the 2012 room. I'm outa here. I'm sure I'll see you at many other rooms.

JcP, wtf are you talking about?

Are you of the assumption that selling a product to someone based on market trends is a 'bad' thing, something to be avoided? Why do you assume I'm hurting people by taking advantage of someone? Why do you assume I feel any kind of guilt based on running a profitable business? To sum this up...wtf are you talking about?

In Islam, conducting business fairly and equitably is lawful (halal).
Usury and unfair, unequitable business dealings are not lawful (haram).

During the Golden Age of Islam, the armies would come to the infidel's fort and tell the peasants living behind the walls this : Surrender and join us and you will not ever again pay the oppressive taxes to the Lords that own you and your lands. (Hijabhippie can tell you more of usury (interest) and oppressive taxes characteristic of American and European nations.)
Bottom line: Many of the peasants threw their Lords over the wall and let the Sultan's armies in.
When you borrow money thru Islamic Law, you only pay a fee to a bank. Compounding interest can cause a lifetime of slavery thru debt service. Interest free loans creates enormous capital for new business and elevates the lifestyle of the people.

no, but you did mention that people won't be afforded the same quality of life they now enjoy. how that is supposed to come about is inconsequential; there are as many ways as there are imaginations. what matters is that people are buying into it, irrationally and almost without thought. i've been there, it just almost seems so certain, of course the world would be ending soon. well, i maintain that it will end for those who see it ending. take this healthcare shit for example. people are watching whole structures of their world crumble, and not because they are being afflicted by some catastrophe. . . simply because they are rigidly resisting the continued development of our world. so they have their own, and they get to experience it dying. . . literally

America talked the whole world into recession and without talking we can not know how the world will end. My neighbour has created gravitational waves which can disturb space time any time but he chooses to remain silent.

Well, Verk, we're all glad you live comfortably. You'll have to tell us more details of that later. What exactly do you do for a living that insulates you from world recessions?

Easy DKV. The intellectuals here will tear you apart talking about gravitational waves and such. Remember their biggest fear is coming across as "unsophisticated ". Why they lurk in a 2012 discussion, other than to make fun of of people, is a mystery.

what are YOU doing? you're posting on the internet, which means you own a computer and pay a monthly fee to an internet provider. this also means you have electricity flowing to wherever it is you live. you have to be alive to post so you're obviously eating alright, and i'll also assume you have clothes on your back. sounds p comfortably to me, you must be outrageously insulated against the world ending!!!!omg

All assumptions, Verk. You're not very scientific in your thinking. I could just as well be on a library computer, waiting for the homeless shelter to open for the night, or among the majority of the planet sitting in a chat cafe making $25/week.
Can anyone translate this sentence for me,please? " ... you must be outrageoously insulated against the world ending." I'm much too uneducated to do so.

again, we're not discussing anything. you're only prodding the structure of my posts and forgetting the substance to make yourself seem like you have a point. . . exactly as you did with mydriasis earlier in the thread.

i may have only made an assumption but until you outright refute it i'll assume it's right. and even if not, what's so uncomfortable about surfing the net all day and hanging out at a shelter come nightfall? that's a hell of a lot better deal than what the majority of people get on our planet. it's all perspective man. we're a bunch of fucks who complain about shit from our seat of relative comfort, and when that gets boring we project imaginative scenarios to get scared over and worry about.

drop the fuss man no one's said anything derogatory to you and you've had an abrasive attitude from the beginning. chill

Hey, a question for Verk, Dilation,I mean Mydriasis, and other senior members:

I see the little boxes on the left sometimes that say: The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to XXX For This Useful Post:
Why can't I find a way to initiate that? I don't see that in FAQ. I want to say thanx too ! (sometimes)

Verk, embrace the abrasive attitude. It made Howard Stern $100,000,000 a year.
Besides, I'm seeing judgements and that's what us mellow stoners aren't about.

listen man, we must have an issue with our communication because i'm not judging anyone just sharing my ideas. let's get this back on track, please.

why do you believe you must be insulated from the global recession to live comfortably? i think comfort can be found in all situations, and in line with the thread i feel panic, fear and worry take away from our ability to do so-- both now and in the future. they are very powerful, self-fulfilling agents of negativity.

Guess what... I don't have a THANKS button. Check it out. What's the name of the top room official? Is it the Sage man?
Why don't I have peer status? Mydriasis and I have made up , so that can't be it.
Down with room politics ! Verk, pull a few strings and I'll agree with everything you say in the future.
