You

Choose:

1) What you do defines who you are.
2) Who you are defines what you do.
3) It's not what you do, but the way you do it.
4) I'm gay. Like, super gay.

I could defend all those points..... Being and Doing are so tied together.

I would choose #3
Choosing to use your judgment for the benefit of others and yourself seems to fit my schema the best. Because 'not doing' is still 'doing'. Meaning sometimes it's about the notes you don't play in life that have the bigger 'defining' meaning and impact.

Although 1 & 2 seem simultaneously true.

Would you say that has more to do with who you are or why you're doing it

Or is that how you are getting there

There is no "You". "You" is just an idea that you mistake for something that actually exists. In fact, I would go so far as to say that this error is the most elemental error in human interraction, and is responsible for the majority of the horror and pain we inflict on each other.

In fact, fuck "you".

Identity is bullshit.
Ego is that same bullshit but fermented in snake venom with an remote control heterogeneously mixed into solution.

Burn it in a fucking fire, NEVER limit energy.

"You" are a mirage. A great nothing of nothings. So many better things then he, she, it, and self.

Seperations make me cry at night.

Although I understand (and fully integrate) the sentiment of "The other is a lie", and potentially realized unity.. I would have to largely disagree with individuality being a falsehood.

I would say that Identity is life. It is being. For the one and the whole's vitality resides in self-realization. To have a manifestation of a flower is to acknowledge it's beauty as well as it's flaws. I see my senses (ego and all) as a blessing, they are unique and in being unique my experience has valid representation. Integrity and intimacy.

In real terms...I think the tragedy resides when externalized influences promote someone into forming an identity around unauthentic motivators. In others words: Someone pulling a fake shtick. This is where unity is unappreciated in the most diabolical way. If you cant love your slice of the pie, there's no way you're working your way through the rest of it.

As my unrealized lover and philosopher says;

"The pursuit of that so called 'individuality' is everything I believe in. The fullest pursuit of those possibilities of that quote unquote 'Individuality'. Even if it is an absolute failure, it is the most beautiful failure I can think of."

So your senses and experiences are only unique to you? Go do something worth-while.

What slice is that? Is the land the place you live in yours too?

Hey now, that's quite the emotional responsive vibe you have for someone speaking so passionately against ego.

Assuming I am claiming my senses (as well as the philosopher I quoted) in a possessive sense, is running ahead of my sentiment, foolish and simply false. Classifications such as "Yours" or "Mine" or any word for that matter are made in attempts to detail our proximity and relationship to any given event or phenomenon.

And yes, this specific experience I'm involved in is uniquely mine. But just because it is mine does not synonymously mean it is not shared. I fully embrace this, like I had prefaced my entire prior post.

Thanks for the prayers, interpersonal extensions are what make this experience all the more valuable.

No, it's who breaks the ribbon that gets the medal. The guy in the wheelchair who comes in last just gets pity and fake admiration.
