Just pondering about god.
First things first, I don' believe in an all powerful god or gods, but it certainly is hard to explain things like "how did life started?" or "how was the universe created?" with our current technology. The claim of "god created everything" usually comes up in conversation, as a patch, but that only makes me ponder on the paradox that god created himself, which is widely believed without much thought even though it means that god had thoughts, desires and power long before he even decided to create himself. But certainly, something must have come first, we're just incapable of knowing which because if it was indeed god, how can we ever get him to do a press conference and confirm it? And if it wasn't god, it happened so long ago that nothing we as humans could ever create will take us that far back, I mean carbon dating can only go so far.
However, even assuming for the sake of the argument, that god does in fact exist and that he did create this universe and everything in it, and outside of it for that matter, including himself. I am sure god has much more interesting things to do than sit on a throne all day listening to his little humans whining all day. Certainly one cannot look around the world without wondering if whoever was in charge, be that Ishvara, Takami-Musubi, Yahweh, Allah, Shangdi, or any other variation, just stopped peeking at the universe to see if it was working correctly. It is hard to imagine that such a powerful being would spend its time watching every human's action in order to judge them at death. I mean, if you were god, with the power to do ANYTHING, would you want to watch this planet all day or do you think you could find other more interesting things that could distract you? But what if we're not god's only creation? After all, if we believe that he created this universe, its conceivable that he could have created a million other universes, maybe even has them numbered out in an experiment table. MAYBE god created us inside a crystal ball, kind of like god's little ant farm, up on his desk, a fully matured biological ecosystem paper weight. MAYBE god created a goddess and is off on some super uber dimension with her having a daiquiri on a uber dimensional beach. MAYBE god just fell asleep at work. MAYBE god found a better universe and forgot about us. MAYBE god is actually two goddesses who created the whole universe 5 minutes ago. Everything is possible in the realm of belief. MAYBE you guys have different theories, share, finish the sentence... Maybe god...
