Moments I've felt small.

There are plenty more of these in my life, that's for sure. Even with objects not so big or bigger than I, there is a sense of wonderment at our place in this universe.

We hardly take up a take up more than a few seconds in the span of conceivable time.

I love to look at the night sky and wonder who's what was where when the light of these first penetrated the atmosphere of earth.

Even on the darkest of nights we can only see a fraction of them. I am humbled by of our relative existence and how quickly our time in this life passes by. Mere specs of dust in the solar winds spanning the galaxies.

To me this is amazing on the level at which we can effect each other. This temporary, seemingly insignificant amount of time we share, has profound effects on everything each day.

Being mindful of the time we have I try my best to love and act with best intentions moment to moment, though helping others or learning about myself as I live. Please forgive me as I grow.

We are all built of ancient elements eon upon eon, making reincarnation more real, if not at least on that level perhaps further.

The scapes in our world have been as me and I as it. The minerals nourish all life, we are also a bank of minerals with which we'll nourish others and can today as well because of them. Others made of minerals that perhaps made us at some time.

We truly do share this life of.

Could our consciousness also not be the same way? Is it our own ideas we form or is it a set number of consistent factors which create even our perceptions from past ones? The universe experiencing itself?

Is consciousness elemental so to speak?

Perhaps this is more of me trying to put words to my sense of being than an actual question, per say.

Rather I'd just like to open about sharing my thoughts and see what happens. Take a question or take a cue. Share your thoughts, please.

The pondering with words are fun. What we chose to do because of them is the proof in the pudding of life.

In Loving Kindness

it's an incredible feeling: looking up at the stars and knowing that the photons smacking the backs of my eyes were emitted way way back. . . when columbus made his first uncertain voyage for one, when the germanic tribes stormed rome for another, when the last dinosaur filled its massive lungs with one final breath or life itself began for others still. the universe is more immense than we can understand, and somehow, through various processes, creatures such as ourselves have arisen from it to wonder in stark amazement where we came from, and why. "star stuff pondering the stars," as carl sagan liked to put it.

if we have a purpose, that is it as close as i can fathom. the journey into consciousness is a return home: a final journey with ample time for meditation and reflection. we may be small, but we can sure as hell dream big!

its such an incredible feeling to look up at night and stare off into the endless sky. Or to think of how we're sitting on this rock that is earth and just floating throughout the universe...i love the feeling of being small, everyone's just a small gear in this strange machine, we're all connected.

i have a "feeling small" pic too

I'm awestruck by such natural beauty, yet awestruck moreso by the fact that I am beholding it.

"Please forgive me as I grow." - That sentence hit me deep.

We are all so damn small, but we really do effect so much just by inhaling and exhaling. It's a great responsibility to be a mindful human-being. There are a lot of mistakes and pains that have to be learned and dealt with. I'm dealing with them now and learning as best as I can. Which is why "Please forgive me as I grow.", hit me in the face.

Much love, thank you for sharing as always.

first time I saw a wild bear I felt pretty small. But she was a big momma black bear with cubs, I prolly would be able to chase a juvenial away.

Treegina!

That second one throws me for a loop because you have to crawl down a 45 degree angle to the bottom where the trail is at. Going up it's easy. Going down it looks like you could plunge into the Howe Sound if you hit one wrong pebble. But man the view is awesome so you have to go down on your butt to see it safety. So naturally picture me rooting for a camera on that slope
