Or Gaia or call it what you will… What do you think about it?

For example, too many antibiotics (not used properly and or too much) = emergence of more resistance diseases
Excessive use of cleaning products = stronger germs more resistant germs
Excessive water pollution = more water born diseases etc etc.

If you fuck the world… it will fuck us back… at least eventually. Thoghts?

Is there some sort of universal regulating feature, and if there is one, then is it governed by the laws of tolerance or something else?

You might enjoy the book 'Tao of Physics' if you haven't read it.

To me there is no doubt that there is a balance in the Universe.
Which side of the pendulum are we on? I do not know for sure.
Which side is it swinging to? I don't know in certain.

I perceive that the world can use all the love, caring and compassion I can muster. And I pray I find a skillful way to help others and myself.

Who started the swinging?

To me it doesn't exactly matter. We've been pierced by an arrow, we are already on the field of life, and if we wait around to find out who shot it before we removed it we may die never having lived.

I hope that I am not so wounded that I mistaken what I consider best intentions, causing more harming than good.

In the words of His Holiness The Dalai Lama "If one can not help, at least try not to harm." That is a worded statement that I consider in my balancing act called living.

Equilibrium (especially with respect to the balance of nature) is often described as if it were a ball balancing on a point, with the slightest disturbance destroying the whole system. This can't be right, as natural systems would never get very far. I am more inclined to think of it as a ball at the bottom of a bowl. When the ball is disturbed, natural forces tend to push it back toward the center.

If this is so, then the questions we should ask are: 1)How far from center has the ball been disturbed, and 2) How will the natural forces of correction be percieved by us? If they are percieved as a species-wide die off, then, well, bummer. The system of nature, however, is really in no danger at all.

Slip yourself a little bit of psychedelic's, preferablly mushrooms and you will realize just how far we are off our equalibrium, there are method's to reach that equalibrium once again on a personal level but as awhole it will take a massive shift in our world's view of reality.
