Daily Show interview: Jim Wallace, amazing!!!!
*Edit: So the video link died, here is Jim talking about his experience on The Jon Stewart Show.....
And here is a random interview on Anderson Cooper: "You've read that book?" Pat Robertson ![]() This man makes me happy to hear always and is an inspiration to the followers of the Social Gospel, no matter what your beliefs or faith calls it. Quoting Adam Smith was brilliant and the numbers about mortgage debts. How true, have the banks forgotten. It's awesome Jon Stewart has him on because this is the news to many many people through out North America and THIS is the stuff that TV should be doing, imo. Hope you enjoy the interview. Jim Wallis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I saw this man speak in '05, in Lancaster, on the topic of this book "God Politics: Why the right gets it wrong and the left doesn't get it", in front of a seminary hall packed full of Mennonites, Amish, Quakers, Unitarians, Protestant, Catholic Christians, non-Christians, Humanists so on and so forth. Many people were very frustrated about GWBs brand of Christianity, if you can call it that. He held up a Bible from his seminary days, which had all the acts of kindness cut from it, literally, and all he had was a cluster of shredded pages bound. He talked about the discrimination people base their opinion faith on and said these things are only sentences in the Bible, compared to the pages and pages of love thy neighbour and the love of Jesus. Which anyone who has actually read the Gospel knows. His call to action was to speak up in the Churches, shout out in the community and let the world know there are Christians and people of faith who care about life and want quality in each one, so that we may all be stronger together. His other mission there was to gather people to march on the Capital building where they were preparing to make a bill that cut funding for senior aid with crutches, wheel chairs, beds, and care. As well as funding for children to much the same tune. UN BE LEE VA BLE!!!! So I support this man's action and is beautiful to hear him speak every time, for the reasons here and more. Blessed Be, Sage
