The Voice of Marijuana
![]() I have found that weed frees my mind to see things more completely from any point of view. I believe this is because it disrupts the habits of thinking that play out in my mind, and tend to direct me to the same conclusions aobut things (hence, seeing things the same way most of the time). There are times when I smoke and I start seeing myself like my parents would see me, and I get really self-critical about having long hair and taking drugs. Other times, I am able to see things very clearly and objectively. Last night I had such an experience, and I consider them to be peak experiences in my life. I was able to see things from the point of view I would have if my judgement were not confused by irrational fears. Often, I am of the habit of instantly seeing the most negative possible outcome of any choice of action, and last night, I saw with incredible clarity how that thinking held me back in life. I saw how simple everything is. Marijuana has a voice that can grant us wisdom if we learn how to listen. How such a substance can be so demonized in our culture only further proves our need for it. ![]() The Rev |

i figured there would be more discussion in here, that's why i waited to reply. Anyways, thanks for sharing rev.
Hopefully everyone who uses marijuana gets a chance to view their lives and the world around through this objective perspective. I don't really know what else to add, so i wont. |

Why Rev said he smokes is the same reason I smoke today.
When I was a kid it was to laugh.

If the average (non-cannabis using) person knew that they were being lied to about marijuana just so that some fatcats can have an excess of money, it really makes me wonder if this person would give a damn despite this fact. I suppose the only way to knock sense into people would be to get EVERYONE high somehow. They would search feverishly for what this sensation was, and once they were told it was marijuana, there would be no question. I don't believe many people could be against it after that. So...let's get to work guys! I'd sign up for The Rev's army any day. The bud will give him the inspiration to write the best course of action. |

Rev stated it well. This is how I feel I 'found myself' in my 18-20 years.
Also I realized that herb was just a catalyst and ultimately I had to be able to keep the doors open myself after it helped me not fear what was on the other side. The things I see are real, the herb didn't put them there, its a tool, not a free ride. I believe one takes as much from the experience as one is willing to admit they already have and not think that it's dualistic. I feel as well this is what psychedelics do as well. It happens in my mind and works with what is there. I've never had 'bad trips' because I've stayed awake and accepting knowing the hallucinations are 'real' but what I see from them is real.

I cannot for the life of me figure out why cannabis is a crime in the US. I can drink myself to death, but for some reason I cant smoke. For me, marijuana provides not only artistic inspiration, but stress relief, a way to socialize, relief from insomnia, ect. Marijuana enables (in my opinion) humanity to tap into potentials for peace, love, and unity not possible otherwise.
