I believe........

that we human beings are all capable of seeing we can cooperate, we can share and that competition is just an idea that keeps us locked into old ways of thinking. Where some where, some how, some one gets on top of something.

I believe deep down we don't want anyone to suffer but many can't see that sharing doesn't mean having less.

I believe this isn't a thinking matter, but a matter of loving and letting go.

I believe.............

I believe you truly understand the value of life when you hold your own child in your hands for the first time.

And, I believe you will cry proudly when you do.

I am often quite dismayed when I realize how easy it would be to fix the world. We just stop hurting one another. That's all we have to do. Just say, "Okay, now I'm not going to deliberately hurt or upset anyone." And if we all did that, then everything would be fine. We could build a really great world together.

And considering how unpleasant the alternative is, that's how I get dismayed. Really, I just can't believe it, sometimes.

i believe we have a psychological construct called ego that we have adapted into a basis for our sense of identity, and that this has been reinforced generation to generation on down the line from our primitive ancestors. for them, matters of self and survival were one and the same. the stronger an ego one could maintain, the more fit he became to survive. this is the paradigm through which society and civilization have developed, right up to this day. it is deeply ingrained in our collective psychology, and on both personal and collective sides it is armed with a series of learned actions, reactions and impulses.

this is not a foe to be taken lightly, and i believe with all my heart that the seemingly tiny steps we've taken along the painstaking course of our evolution beyond it are veritable leaps and bounds!

It would be incredibly easy to fix this mess (the world). It takes unity, and that unity is something that people under control are lacking. In the U.S., nothing gets done without our "say-so", but at the same time, we do nothing without the say-so of those above us. As for other countries, the case may be very similar, but still lies on those in power.

Money corrupts. Those with lots of it usually call the shots. So the shots being called are...you guessed it. Corrupt.

Unity could only possibly flourish in the absence of corruption and of money. I suppose these would be the first obstacles to scale, but in what way could they be overcome? There's a question that will go unanswered until corruption, along with money, are forcibly dissovled from this world by God's hand alone.
