Every bird chirps differently. Why?

I was standing on my porch the other day, and realized how strange it was that birds

a)Chirp in the first place
b)Have their own pattern and sound of chirp
c)Are instinctively born to chirp this way

but why? It almost seems like it exists solely as an aesthetic so us humans don't go nuts. Maybe it's nature's music?

Anyone else got anything to say about this?

Birds chirp to let other birds know to stay away, or to attract mates, etc. It's instinctive for them. Each of them being somewhat unique is probably an reflection of competition for mates, etc. as they would need to distinguish themselves from other birds.

See? That sounds so complex. I don't think we give the animals of this world enough credit.

Isn't their variety wonderful? I sit on my deck sometimes and just listen to... the birds... chirp... whistle... squak... sing... breeze washing through the trees... children laughing in the neighborhood... fragrant fresh air... warmth of the sunshine... a dog barking... endless colors and swaying of the landscape... the aroma and warmth of coffee... the sweet freshness of orange juice... chirp... whistle... squak... My cat rubs against my leg... My love reaches over and holds my hand.

It's like a multi-sensory concert / detox bath out there.

Its very important to "stop and smell the roses"... and listen to the birds. Yep, I definitely think it's nature's music.

check out the lyre bird, it mimics the sounds of other birds and even other sounds it hears in the forrest. check out it's version of the sound of a chainsaw and car alarm. sounds EXACTLY like it!
