A thought

There is no thing, only the change from one thing to another.

thing + motion = change

change + observer = existence

No thing, only motion. The thing is inferred only.

Brother sounds like a Verb to me too.

We watched that yesterday. Personally, I think the 10 Commandments is a better movie for Passover, but Passion of the Christ spoils the appetite. Besides, no one's really into snuff films around here.

I dig how Moses' beard and hair get more badass every time he talks to God upon Mt. Sinai. Interestingly, his wife was a Midianite, who are decendents of Ishmael, who is considered the founding father of Islam (in the same way that Isaac, and his son Jacob, beget the nations of Israel). So, in a way, Moses' marriage to Sephora was a marriage between the two religions (even though the establishment of Islam wasn't going to happen for another 2000 years or so).

It's funny. If you look at the bible, there are all these messages, even in the Old Testament, about how the forebears of the modern Abrahamic religions were intended, by God, to make an effort to get along. In fact, Jerusalem, in hebrew, means "City of Peace". Wouldn't it be cool if it actually was?

Yea Rev it would with out a doubt.

I forgot that was on at Easter. Haven't watched that since I was a kid, and since we don't have TV I don't get it thrown in my face to check it out Good story though, hell of a lot nicer to watch than the passion... from what I hear. I never saw it.

Abraham had a son, Ishmael, with Haggai, one of his servant girls, since his own Wife couldn't bear a child. Later she did and he was Isaac. Haggai and her son were sent away.

Here is a link and story that will do more justice than me trying to type it out.

Ishmael

Another interesting bit of Rev-Trivia:

When the movie came to the part where Moses goes up on Sinai, and sees the burning bush for the first time, and God is speaking to him, there was an earthquake here. It was the recent Baha quake, but we could feel it rumble for a good 20 seconds. The quake wasn't a big deal, here, but the timing couldn't have been any more perfect.

Yea... nice job you heathen! jk

You're black in other words.

<----kettle

Bah but for real I don't but into that heathen stuff..... you sinner!!!!!

I'm going to have to take a wild guess that the 'salem' in the city name harkens to the word 'Shalom' in Hebrew, and 'Salaam' in Arabic or a rootier root word....

Both mean peace be upon you as the implied sentence when meeting and parting.

Where's Bible Guy.... cat knows his language roots.
