Ever just feel like, that's what this is really all about?
Don't get me wrong what a gift life truly is. Just I never asked to be here ya know? We just "are" and then we "are no longer". I now fully understand why the buddhists say "attachment is the root of suffering". Birth is structure, life is chaos, death is structure. What a cycle! Wake up, consume with respect! Sleep forever, be consumed with respect. Everything is transient, as it should be(IMO). I suppose this is the true nature of flux, whether chemical, alchemical, metaphysical, whatever your mind-tunnel is tuned into at the moment. When are we ready to go? Is it the time when we become truly selfless? Willing to sacrifice all that we could ever hold, to give back to the earth every story we've told. They say live in the moment and your free, and a moment lasts an eternity. Where do we lay our head's finally for our last sleep? The same soil we've consumed the fruits from since our beginning I guess. But we bury our loved ones in boxes with stone slab post-it notes("__ was here"). Some don't like the idea of going back in and if we do, damn it let our name be shown, hehe. Albeit, some of us prefer to be scorched, before we return. In the end though, we all go back into the soil. This Earth is a grave-yard, yet it's a factory for life. I assume there is no dichotomy, there is life giving, and there is life taking in all degrees at all times. {little bit bigger picture} What are the cycles of the Earth? They say not to look into the future, or it'll eat your present. However, I'd imagine it starts off simple, small and slow(structure). Then it grows in complexity (chaos). Then to death(structure), only to rise again. I'd say there is a pattern until the whole thing pops, and it happens all over again. Just speculation though. {back to personal level} When I meditate on passing, I experience what might be deemed as a "mind-error". Is this my mind not understanding it's ultimate goal? How do I prepare? Or is this another one of those things that no one really knows? This life feels like a distraction from death. Being aware of certain demise does no real justice. It's not depressing for me, or anything. Just how do I move forward? There is no forward beyond aging. There isn't just having fun and being kind either, or is that purpose? The prolonging of aging seems counter-productive to the design.{Not suicidal talk I just mean why live longer than the body can support itself "naturally", honestly?} I don't really know why I'm making this a thread, I didn't leave much room for discussion. I would appreciate some insight, or a fresh perspective on this topic however. here's a tune if you actually read this whole thing cuz you deserve it haha.

i was thinking along these lines while walking to class. people say life is hard, some say its beautiful. you didnt ask to be here but you are here. if you assign the word "hard" to what your experience, then its hard. if you assign the world beautiful to your experience then its just that. semantics, ya. but isnt everything just what you think it is? can you really experience hard if you think that its beautiful to struggle and what not, whatever words you associate with hard.
i think language plays a big part in stifling people. if we didnt have words there would be no words associated with other words and no feelings associated with those associated words. youd be experiencing, no need to put a name on it, or give it a particular quality. so when it comes to death, it is what you make of it. its the next gaurantee and thats about it, i think. you can stuggle against it and your life may seem difficult and far too short. or you can accept it as the next step in the process and live with your eyes wide open instead of trying to quantify and qualify everything that happens.

The system must be self-maintenancing in order to continue. But that presents no real problem for us.

cycles are the result of experiencing infinity linearly.
having the cycle of life and death revealed to us as it is through our capacity for abstract thought and reasoning isn't really a blessing or a curse. it just is. although we can bless or curse ourselves with the way we think about it. look at how you destine your thoughts toward what you perceive as the end result. is that a comfortable bias-- thinking that one cannot move forward? why are you concerned about moving beyond something you do not yet face? life is a journey to find home. we suffer until we find it, because we usually start looking outward. some find it or glance at it and are comforted by the peace of the moment they create from within. others suffer until death forces an end to it. most clumsily dance with it all their lives. the secret is to live, think and act on your own terms whenever and wherever you can, conceiving your own attitudes and protocols based solely on what makes things sit right with you, holistically. i promise, you can never stop making them better!
