So if it's all just waves... why aren't people flying?
If it's scientifically proven that walls are not solid and reality is an illusion and it's all just a matrix of *preceived* sensory stimulation and social conditioning and freewill....
then who has used this knowledge practically? i know there are people out there who can "bend spoons", so to speak. but really, where are those people who have really figured out how to manipulate this knowledge that it's all a matrix? afterall, so many books have been written about the possibilities of the mind. why are the authors still normal people who live just like the unenlightened? you would think they'd be flying around, walking on water and doing all sorts of things that one would do if they suddenly learned how to manipulate reality. |

well that second part hasn't been scientifically proven, but what is proven is that all reality lies in perception. i believe we have set down the wondrous course you're imagining, but we are realizing it slowly through incremental technological breakthroughs. think about the things we do today, effortlessly, and imagine the wonder and fright our ancestors would feel upon seeing it done. would that be much removed from, say, the direct control over our environment at a molecular level that awaits our descendants (if we continue keeping [or more truly accelerating] our pace)?
we're already learning how to grow organs, code genetic sequences. the next logical step is the design and "construction" of biological machines. at that point our technology will have literally become part of us, and we will surely be capable of things which would frighten and amaze us today.

how do you use the knowledge that we are in a matrix to your advantage is the basic question. the answer is that life is alot like a dream. in a dream when you dont know your dreaming your set on a course that can be outside of your control. things happen TO you. but when you become lucid in a dream you realize that a dream is just a dream. its your creation. its all in your mind, YOU control your experience. so with this knowledge people allow themselves to craft the dream experience they wish, to create the reality they want to experience. and that is what enlightened people do, they use their awareness that life is a dream to craft their dream into something they want to experience, as opposed to something that is 'happening to them' and being forced 'onto' them. thats the big challenge in life isnt it. to manipulate your reality and your energy to create a life that you enjoy and that is fulfilling to you. its all a dream baby ![]() Quote:

For the enlightened man to fly, it requires more than just his own perception of flying, it requires everyone else's as well, and that's where you have the problem. For something to be accepted as real, it must not contradict other things accepted as real, and this requires consensus. So, it isn't whether I can fly or not, it's whether those who witness it consider it real.
