I don't understand myself any more. It's so confusing.

Back when I was 16 yrs old and skating, I was happy and fine with socializing.
I could just walk up to any girl and be like, yo whats up baby girl? and just hit things off.

But now I'm 18, a legal adult, and I feel like a fkn 12 yr old!... I'm nervous to talk to girls and I hate myself for it. Maybe I try too hard or something, I dunno.. Some where down the road I lost my self confidence, lost my 'swag,' if you will.

And not only am I a lil bitch about confronting girls, when I actually do, and i get denied or rejected/ignored what ever, it sucks! I get bummed and that's not normal. I used to go chat up a girl with no intentions of actually getting some where, if they blew me off, I'd just smirk, maybe laugh and walk away, no problem. But noooo, not now. Now that I'm looking for a real relationship and not just some tail, I talk to a girl, get told I'm too young, then bam. I'm pissed/bummed for the rest of the day.

My senior year of High school I was sent off to alternative school for being a lil punk, and when it came to the girls there, I RAN SHIT.
I walked in that place with the most confidence of my life, every girl in there wanted a piece of me! I got any ones number I asked for, even made out (in alt school) with 2 chicks in one week in there! Life was good man!

I just can't figure out what went wrong....



WTF is my problem??
One would think growing up would solve these problems, no?
Am I growing down?

find a real reason to be confident, and in the mean time just fake confidence.

youd be surprised how much your level of confidence can affect your performance in w/e undertaking. school, socializing, working, thinking, etc etc.

if you feel insecure it can leak through to your exterior if you let it, if you feel secure you will exude an air of confidence and have much better success with the women folk.

fake it til you make it is my advice.

You get older, and shit gets more complicated. It's the curse and blessing of accumulating years. You can see more than before, but some of that "more" fucks with you. The punchline is, you just have to work through it. Growing older, or growing up, isn't a process of perfecting yourself. It's about change, but in many directions, not just one. Personally, I find it frustrating at times, and at other times I find it beautiful.
